The Championship
Other than wba winning that was as good as it could be.

That said, it means losing to that bunch can be seen as a massive missed opportunity.

Oh well. Let's hope Coventry can do us a favour and we do the job against West Brom.

All still to play for

West Brom with a winner in injury time, three wins in their last four.

Chaventry will be the happiest today.

Four points above Boro who have five games remaining.

Reading’s win pretty much sends Derby down

That WBA goal did slightly take the shine off the results but still overall excellent really. It's very much in our hands still. Boro, Blackburn and Sheff don't look great. I'd back WBA if they weren't playing us next.

Cov winning means they'll be up for the Bournemouth game. Not over yet

Despite today's defeat and now I've calmed down and seen the other results I think 2nd is still on. Its harder to do now obviously but looking for positives, we've got the inevitable defeat out of the way now (we were never going to go unbeaten until the end of the season). I also dont mind losing to play off rivals so close to the playoffs themselves. It means the chances of another defeat when it matters is much less. And lastly, you can say Bournemouth havent been beaten recently by boro and sheffield and they're good points earned but they arent winning games agsint half decent sides. They're definately playing below par atm.

The atmosphere v Cov was flat for long periods as if expectations were not being met. Brum was a bit better-due to early goal. Now I see comments all over the place writing off Lutons chances after they lost both midfielders, missed a pen and were unfortunate not to get something away at Huddersfield in atrocious conditions.

Every game is tough in this league and Luton in their own back yard is a very tough fixture.

I am confident that if we play well we get something from Kenilworth Rd. However, Luton have been very adept at stopping teams from playing well at their place. A real banana skin this game  make no mistake.

Converse to this, West Brom doing so well today I think works in our favour. We have to produce a response-and usually do. They were on beach 10 days but now know the pressure is back on them.

Not sure what to predict on AHPL now in the best interests of our play off push...

We were never going to win every game, I still believe

To be honest McDurban, so am I. They say that it evens itself out over the season, well if that is the case we should have a hell of a lot of luck over the rest of the season no matter how long. How many legitimate penalties have we been denied up to yet????? How many bad decisions have we had - I know all teams will be saying this but I am sure we have had more than our fair share.

I was surprisingly fine heading home from the game, the Derby result wound me up and I’ve just about calmed down now but I did spend all yesterday simmering.

On a positive note............Reading only need to better Derbys result today and the Sheep will be down.
