Possibly the toughest year for some time. Appreciate I`ve put 7 into a top 3 so maybe exclude my opinion

Garner again for me. Absolutely indispensable . Controls midfield. Best passer in the side. He is involved in nearly all our attacking moves at some stage. Hard as nails. Scores goals and takes all the set pieces.

I know that the case for Spence is a good one but McKenna has been out of this world this season.

Of our players Yates and Worrall and Johnson and Colback have also been superb.

But McKenna for me. No nonsense. Kick it and head it.

We are seeing another side to Mckenna's game recently not just kick it and head it. Cooper has encouraged him to carry the ball out and he's even found himself popping up almost in a left wing position on a few occasions recently.

To say how dominant he is in the air I'm suprised he doesnt have more goals from set plays. I think that's definitely an area we can improve. Its probably more down to delivery and organisation but McKenna could definately finish a few crosses if the other bits were better.

I was thinking more like Larry Lloyd Madforit, but both were charismatic in their styles. Larry was more of a thinker, whereas Kenny was more of a doer and would think about it after Cloughie had bollocked him lol

Both good players, they had a great partnership and understanding, as you say Lloyd was more of a thinking player, where as Burns would just go through a player then think afterwards, did the ref see me and how did I get away with that.

Ive been fortunate and privileged to have met Kenny and spend some time talking to him. He is still as forward now and doesn't give a damn, just like his playing days. A brilliant and very funny man!
