His goal at Maine Road in the Cup was one of my most vivid memories of watching Forest.

They were great.

He put some decent performances in at times that season when needed though.

Bristol City away was another, he just simply wasn’t at the level of Phillips, Haaland or Gemmill that year.

I know lurch is fondly remembered by most but him getting sent off away at Elm Park still sticks with me, Chetts in goal, Stoney scooping over when easier to score.

Trevor Christie Nottingham Forest 1984/85.

I remember that hat trick at Aston Villa in a 5-0 Forest win.

Exactly and those 3 were never at the level Webb was at in his first spell with us. One of our all time great centre mids.

Remember 2nd time round he picked up the slightly unflattering nickname Schooner, from one of the fanzines I think.

Remember it well because I was there.
I think Christie only scored 5 goals in total for us and 3 of them was in the game you mention.

One of my favourite player's Franz Carr.

Franz made a total of 131 appearances for Forest and scored 17 goals between 1984 - 1991.

One of my favourites too was Franz he used to get me up off my fat arse ever time he got on the ball.

I will always remember him for that run and cross against Man Utd in the cup at Old Trafford. 10,000 of us took over the place that day.
