Gerrard on Davis...

"We are hoping he can stay healthy, continue knocking out appearances and adding goals. He will come away with us on pre-season, we will give him opportunities, we will see where he’s at and we’ll make a decision from there.” #avfc #nffc

We are playing much better as a side with Davis uptop. He attacks with power and pace and for me Grabban is sub when he comes back without a doubt.

Completely agree BadDog. He gives us another dimension that we have lacked for a long time. Sides have come to Forest for a long time knowing we did not have a physical presence upfront. His link play is getting better too!

Whenever we big up a player recently (and they have certainly deserved it), they often seem to follow it up with a bit of a shocker. Yates before Boro and Mckenna before Cardiff being the two most glaring examples.

As shown by my current "predictions" on the AH League  I'm stupidly superstitious,  so with this in mind I want to add that Davis couldn't finish his dinner and Stokes centre backs will be relishing the physical battle and will have him in their pockets all game.........

Hope that does the trick..

He has had a good rest now which would have done him the world of good.

Sniff, Norwich will probably be in the same division as us next season and of course there is still a good a chance we can swap places with them! I acknowledge that his old manager at Villa is now at Norwich but Smith never really gave Davis an opportunity to play 1st team football so don't hold your breath on that. I think that if Villa are willing to let him go then we stand an excellent chance to sign him permanently.

Norwich looking for players who can get them out of the championship next season. No suprise.

I'm sure he'll get loads better offers than them.

Davis is a work in progress and on about £30k a week so won’t be many takers as I feel championship is his level £4million should get him in he would be a good addition
Come on you mighty Reds

30k a week is 10k over our budget.

He has done well so far, however despite his all round play i'm not convinced he'll get the volume of goals that his transfer fee and wage should dictate.

If we want him and he wants to come then something can be sorted out. First of all he will go back to Villa and Gerrard will have a good look at him before any decision is made.
