Offers something very different to Grabban- maybe not so much of a goal threat himself but his teamwork offers the team more?

You did call it very early re: Davis.

If he'd started vs Cardiff, I don't think we lose that game.

He's exactly what you need for the Championship.  He's something we haven't had for years.

He may prove us wrong with that.  Had that 'woodwork' pearler 'gone in' that would have been the 3rd goal in as many games.

Can we win without Grabban?

I think we have a few in the squad who we won't be keeping.  Not without promotion and maybe not even then.

Spence.  Garner.  Davis.  Brennan.  Worrall.  (I hope we can keep the latter two if we get promoted.)

I think Villa would be happy to sell him. he is already down their list, and now with Gerrard as manager they will spend the money rather than develop.
