Top 5 - Most Disliked Ex Forest Players & Staff

Inspired by a post on another thread, name your top 5 most hated ex Forest players, could be for any reason really.

Throwing out a few names, I'm sure others will have some good ideas.

Going further back but van hooijdonk. Left us high and dry. I think its worse due to how much i idolised him. 

David platt - technically a player and arse of a manager. 

Andrew Cole - remember watching him in a game we lost to plymouth and i'm confident he did not move more than 20 yards all game.

Great thread Wassy, should give us some opportunity to vent and as ex Forest players it doesnt matter who we upset!

My Pick:

1.David Prutton - for his needless sending off that cost us the Yeovil semi final and the worst night of my Forest supporting life. And he is an annoying prick on Sky too
2.Gareth Taylor - a bit mean this one but he just symbolised the Megson era for me and he cost us so many games by being red carded for leading with his elbow
3.Megson - he never actually played for us but he is an ex player so no further explanation necessary!
4. Dean Saunders. Arrogant twat and past it when he came to us. Made up BS stories about Clough.
5. PVH - loved him when he was here but walking out was unforgivable.

I think Pierre. The betrayal was most deep. But a caveat.

It was the board that betrayed him, us and Basset, selling Kevin from behind his back. When we clearly needed to strengthen from a Championship winning position. A recurring 'Ground Hog' day that we still feel to this day. Only now are Dane and Cooper showing any signs of escape velocity.

In truth 'hate?' It's only what we did to ourselves. The most 'hated' betrayal of all. After all, who recruited all those 'hated' players?

Neil Lennon - took 5 minutes in to his debut to confirm his legs were gone and he was here for the pay check. Strutted around moaning at everyone and anyone.

Nicky Eden - zero effort and care when he played for us. Not sure he ever broke sweat either, couldn’t even fake looking interested. I’d have loved to have slapped his sour face. 

Danny Sonner - the crab. Don’t think he ever passed the ball anything other than sideways. Ever. Infuriated me.

Ian Brekin - maybe a tad harsh on him but another one that personified the Megson era for me. Turned like a barge and was more than happy to blame everyone around him. I actually thought he’d be a good signing….

Brett Williams - again a touch harsh on him, but if he was playing it meant Pearce wasn’t and that was enough to make him dead to me. I instantly took a dislike to his tash as well.

I have no hate for any Forest players over the years, PVH was a great player.
I can only list my hated managers:-

2. Allan Brown
3. Joe Kinnear
4. Gary Megson
5. Steve McClaren

I could say Carvalho for being an irritating boat anchor on our progress or investment to being a top 6 club. 'Hate' might be a harsh word though. But £13 million on a young pretender... (And then you're haggling over a few million for a winger who could(!) do a job in this division that could help our progress to getting promoted.)

It's not so much the players I 'hate.' It's the wasted millions, tens of millions, hundreds of millions(?) that have been ill invested by people who didn't know what they were doing.

I didn't like the attitude of players like Jenks or Danny Fox that turned up and did interviews like they were sullen, doing us a favour, didn't want to be here or held at gunpoint. We clearly hand't done our homework on these players.

The thing is I dont hate the majority of them, more accurately they disappointed me. They were simply a bit crap but that wasnt their fault.

Johnny Careys Aces were the best, ran United close at the time.
Allan Brown was useless!

Can't say I hated any player TBH. Didn't like? yes, some, but not hate.

However, I have run up a list of those I do hate, as they did so much harm to our club. They are:

Phil Soar
Mark Arthur
Fawaz Al Asawi
