Injury update……to be honest when I saw him limping off I feared worse. Back well in time for the playoffs Lewis.

#NFFC recruitment has been so much better since the change of direction at the top of the club.
Grabban is a blow - medics think six weeks - and club tried hard to get Josh Bowler at Blackpool. Overall window, though, has been a good one.

I was thinking probably around mid March, assume it is an ankle sprain. I make 6 weeks 12th March, which would mean missing 6 league games.
On 12th March we have Reading at home, followed by QPR midweek at home then Fulham away before the internationals. Wouldn't be a bad time for Lewis to come in even if it's just half hour per game

He might not get in the side. Surridge will have scored 9 goals by then.

Here's hoping. Looked like it could have been alit worse than 6 weeks so some good news. If we can keep our cup run going would that get a game of two rearranged.... Great option off bench as he gets back to fitness.

Ive just watched Surridge's first interview. Comes across well, well spoken, confident. Sounds like he's motivated to play for a club of our size. Positive start. Let's hope his game is as good.

How many crosses have flashed past the 6 yard box recently?
According to scouting reports and videos I’ve seen this is what he does.
Gets involved in link up then dashes to the 6 yard box. Plays on the last man so may be offside a few times but from research and looking at our preferred system of attack I can see the logic in this one.
Also - Davies can be used wide - often played as a wide forward for Villa. Can see a front 3 of Davies surface and Brennan at times…

Would be interesting, I suspect he'll test that out vs Leicester

It's nice to have players who come in with a smile and enthusiasm (as opposed to the held at gunpoint interviews of Danny Fox and Jenkinson...) to play for a big club like Forest.

Interesting insight, Ozzyten10.
Seems like our recruitment is becoming more incisive and joined up with the 'Forest Way' of playing.
I hadn't thought of Davis being used wide. But if you put him on the left wing, you wouldn't mess with him coming at you.
