Opposition Fans Comments
Lads please can we stay on topic. This is the opposition fans comments not the sheep shaggers thread.

Too many Derby posts on this forum recently, we are here to talk about Forest.

If you want to talk about Derby they have there own thread in the Ale House.

sheep comments 1st Half......

Somewhere it was once said that wise people forgo short term reward for the bigger prize later. True I suppose, but if we could get 6 points from Forest and Boro .. oh I’d just love it

Game day ! Come on Derby ,win this , and i can handle us playing the next 5 seasons in the Uzbekistan 3rd tier , narrow 3-2 away win , Kaz hat trick ,  COYRs

I actually think the fake £5 if they’ve done is quite funny for them

I’m usually quite laid back about this rivalry, but some of the comments I’ve seen from Forest fans this week have really pissed me off. I hope we ducking smash them today.

I only watched the League 1 playoffs when there was a chance of watching Forest losing one!

Their fans basically saying they would like to see us drop down a few divisions is hardly shocking to me.

People maybe being a bit too sensitive at times.  Most of their fans wouldn't really welcome the void our total disappearance would leave but I can't deny them a bit of gloating at the pickle we are in.

Hopefully keep the team largely the same and scrapping a point...would be lovely. Followed by Rooney nailing his colours to the mast and more positive news about a buyer....be a great Saturday.

I am usually feeling nervous about this game but for some reason I feel we can do it and get all 3 points. There is some work hardened steel in our men that I have never seen before, ever. That and a fair wind from the gods could be enough. It would rattle the EFL good and proper. They’’ll be arguing amongst themselves when best to hit us again, this season or next. Anything that goads the EFL and makes their lives difficult gives me some bitter satisfaction.

Enjoying a couple of pre-match beers in one of my locals near the ground and the atmosphere is pretty subdued. Despite the bravado of some of the one eyes on LTLF deep down their fans are probably as nervous as we are about this game.

CKR will give the 2 Forest CB’s a tough time. Both are big and strong, but not incredibly pacy so should be even. Same at the other end as Keinan David will give Curtis and Stears a good battle. The midfielders will have to fight for every ball and could well dictate which attacking midfielders get the chance to win the game.

With all those blow-up phalluses and fake money flying around it looks like a Geordie hen night.

What on Earth was that “Welcome to the Forest Kingdom” huge banner!? Weird

A massive test for the team today.  Thompson might prove to be key in his midfield role.

Decent first 10. We look better.

Very scrappy at the moment, neither side getting on top, although we’ve had a couple of promising situations but we’ve not made anything of them.

Great chance for Lawrence. You’d put money on him bagging that and he put it wide.

Lovely link up play by Kaz!

I was out of my seat and half way down the street, can't believe he's put that wide!

So close. We had forest on the ropes.

So the same player who made a back for Ebosele gets the free kick for the same thing! This ref has form with Derby.

Interesting that it was Colbeck who gave the first foul. Who’d have thought it.

Pretty even and pretty dull so far.

Quite an even game. Notts Forest have changed formation now and see to be getting forward with a little more purpose

Forest’s tactical switch seems to have answered the questions we were asking them.

Though it’s been dull, should be 1-1. Weirdly, both teams are actually trying to play. Needs a Proper Football Tackle to wake this up a bit. This match resembles a football match waaaaaaayyy too much.

Agreed, just said this to my husband - it strangely doesn't feel like a 'Derby'.

Thomson booked for shirt-pulling after Jed Spence was pulling his shirt first. Standard.

Derby with a freekick in the Gumps' half. Pass it all the way back to Allsopp with their forwards on the charge pressurising us all the way, knowing this is what we would do. Why the idiotic backwards mentality when you have a chance to attack? Why?

But we have done fine. Just come on here and seen people saying it should be 1-1. I don't get that at all. Derby have created a brilliant chance and the only clear chance where a goal should have been scored. Skipper Tom will know that he owes us.

The occasion seems to be getting the better of Thompson a little bit.

Got to ride this spell out and look at a tactical change to counter them.

All forest for the last 10 or 15.

Lucky to only see yellow

Should have been a red !

Grabban? I agree, but the pundit didn't seem to think there was anything in it.

Don’t think he meant it but still should have been a red

Lucky escape there.

If Davis hadn’t dived, he’d have been fouled hahahahah

Absolutely. In that situation you have to be brave as a centre forward and take the hit. Chickened out. Had he not it would have been Allsopp sent off and a dangerous freekick.  As it was the ref made the right decision.

Never a foul. Was there even contact?

Allsops trailing leg did catch him but already falling and the ball was well gone by that point.

Are Sky for real? They want Allsop hung, drawn and quartered for getting the ball.

Someone explain how a keeper rushing out and clattering Lawrence is a foul for them?!

I think there’s some mileage in giving Grabban some needle, he’s on a yellow and seems ready foul whoever he comes up against.

Samba's head has just doubled in size

Fair play to Samba though…that’s a golf ball on his head!

Wow the size of that bruise on Sambas noggin!

Like he’s growing a second head

Only going to be harder to score past Samba with that bump, sheesh

No chance Samba is coming out in the 2nd half

Glad for half time so we can regroup, Forest are shutting us down everytime we try and get out.

Need to change it up to counter them

Half time, nil nil.

Derby started well, forest changed their formation and controlled midfield since.

Chances few, Lawrence for us the best.

Allsop never a foul.

sheep halftime ramblings, baaaa

As much as scum as they are, really hope Samba is ok

Really needs to be checked over again! The size of that lump

Why keep him on for those few minutes? I’m no medical expert, but I definitely know enough about the human body to know his head definitely shouldn’t look like that.

Even forgetting his welfare, would you really want a keeper in that state facing a shot from Tom Lawrence?

Exactly this. Even if he feels fine, it's quite clear he's taken a blow to head by the lump. Not that I wouldn't mind a forced change for them, he surely cannot continue, delayed concussion at the very least...Or there is simply nothing in there from start

This ref seems fair so fair (unheard of). We just need Ebosele into the box and we have a pen if he knows how to fall. When was the last time we had a pen?

Sibley on for Thompson for me. Just getting bullied abit in the centre.

Oh Tom how did that go wide

Real shame we didn’t go in 1 nil up. It would have been just about deserved. Bit more composure required from Tom. Pity also that Tommo is booked as that is inhibiting him a bit now. Good half though from Wayne and Liam’s well drilled team. Let’s hope we get the one bit of luck/sublime quality in the second half. Come on you footballing Gods, you know you want a Rams victory.

We could bring on Jozwiak on at some point? he seems to suit a traditional winger role better than being an inside foward

Watching in a bar in Lanzarote.  Looking at Samba a bar lady says "ooh, look at that bulge"..... first time the Mrs looked at the screen

Derby were set up to counter their 3/5 at the back. The switch changed things.

Rooney has had a bit of time to consider what changes are required and will implement at half time. Probably see Knight in midfield with Lawrence on the left.

Samba having 2 heads won’t feel out of place in Snottingham now. All he really needs to do to really fit in is grow extra fingers and toes.

Ravel or Sibbo on for Thompson at half time I think... Gives us a bit of something different in the middle and protects Tommo from a potential sending off. Another 45mins in a game like this is a long way to go and F*rest will target him.

Premier league with Var and Grabban is sent off no problem

Samba can’t continue surely?  I’ve seen boxing bouts stopped with less!

Even game so far Eboselle looks a bit in no man’s land too far forward to make the best of him I think.

He’s back on.

Let’s pump some balls into the box. He’s not great at crosses at the best of times!

Some solid performances in the first half, but also a few invisible ones. Need to see more from Knight, Ebosele needs to get more involved too. Defence holding steady for now

Can’t believe he’s back on.

Is it weird to feel more confident at 0-0 at half time than if we were 1-0 up?

sheep 2nd Half Comments.....

Boooooo

Softest free kick ever?

Balls 1-0

I'd like to revise my confidence levels.... ffs

I still think it will end up as a draw

Lucky goal

Prettty ugly defending for that, just never cleared our lines

Refs had his half time team talk from EFL

Stearman got the ball there

Yellow for that?

The forest freekick was an offside surely?

Christ can we please stop the close ups of their manager.

I’m not sure we look up for this

Forest really shutting down our passing options now.

Need to change something

His face enrages me. Looks like he's been saving his pube trimmings up for years and gluing them to his head.

Forest player holding Festy the whole time he had the ball there…..nothing doing from the ref

Max Bird's had a nightmare start to this half. Needs to settle down because he sets the tempo.

We really haven't started this half

Does Lee realise that the Forest transfer never happened?

Probably not. He is way overrated anyway, If we can get some decent money for him, I would let him go.

Difference in having a winger with end product in Johnson and ebosele

Rooney needs to change this set up asap before we concede again.

Morrison and Plange coming on

Just not happening in midfield. Thompson and Bird have been great but overpowered today. Need to try to get someone on who can get some control and link with the forwards. Maybe both off, Knight and Morrison in the middle and Joz or Sibley on the wing?

Take off Buchanan. Blokes a liability.

So close, Morrison’s shot deflected wide.

It doesn’t take much to shut the red dogs up.

Hinchcliffe saying it was definitely a penalty.

At least in Daves world.

We just didn't have the luck there, it just didn't quite drop for Byrne. However it did for grabban at the other end. It's unfortunate but that's the difference at the minute. We shouldn't be losing

Good dive for that free kick. Soft fifty fifty.

Morrison put us in trouble there, trying to out pace their fastest player, always going to lose

Buchanan not having the greatest game! Cant see us scoring at all (she says hoping to tempt fate)

Forest replace player who looks like a weird elf with someone who is named like one.

One of those days it feels like. Absolutely nothing going our way.

Is Buchanan playing for forest

Perhaps too trying to put them off from bidding?

Ravel, again!!????

Why does Morrison persist in slowing attacks down?

Shameful performance this is , Paul jewel level performance after all the hard work and good results recently

We’re done here. Can’t even pass now

Too many players not at it: Buchanan getting ripped apart, Morrison and Bird giving the ball away, Knight absent

Has someone slipped some sleeping pills into our water bottles?

Thompson needs subbing, his legs are gone.

We look knackered

The EFL will be pleased!

Plange thats the wrong way mate

Both teams getting a bit weird now. There’s another goal in this - it’s going to finish 2-0 or 1-1.

Buchanan, bird and Morrison having a nightmare today....

Missing fozzy today.

Just a comment on our crowd, the fact that a fair number of those fans at their only away game of the season has affected our noise generation.

Good the game is suddenly getting stretched. Pleased Sibbo is coming on. He's going to be able to carry the ball at them. And a player who actually always looks to score. Terrible moment for Plange just now, turning backwards from goal and then giving it away.

Sibley!!!!  Come on prove yourself - perfect opportunity

Buchanan and Morrison awful.  Since the injury Samba has looked a little shakey ..shoot on sight, let's leave here with a point at least

If Shinnie was in that midfield would be a completely different game, don’t rate this Forest side at all other than their pace on that one wing we’ve made it easy with our laboured passing and not pressing them in midfield

Right Sibbo, show Rooney why he refused to let the Snake have you.

This has been so disappointing

They’ve let the occasion get the better of them
This one feels like it's gone.
But you never know.

Buchanan losing the ball again. An absolutely awful day for him.

So many young, local players. Bound to happen.

2-0 damn it

Very poor second half from us sealed with that goal

A crocked keeper and we've not managed to get a shot on target.

Disappointing.

Buchanan losing the ball again. An absolutely awful day for him.

At least they won’t want to sign him now absolute shocker today

We've been ducking awful

It’s been coming.

Buchanan and Byrne hopelessly exposed today.

One game. No need for panic, just very disappointing against them.

Yep, we have been pretty crap second half

Can't remember the last time we turned up vs Forest tbh. Shocker of a day.

If only Lawrence had scored 1st half

Hate to say it but I think that this game will ruin the feel good feeling regarding the performances

Spence has had Buchanan in his pocket won too many battles.

I didn't realise until a couple of minutes ago that they haven't subbed their keeper. That's how little he's been in the game.

Outfought and tactically outwitted

Ffs,never in it today and of all the teams to lose to,it had to be this bunch.

Poor team selection and tactics were the problem today.

Been absolutely awful

Buchanan epitomizes this performance. Crap.

Samba looks like he's concussed we should have been bombarding him all second half

… right… back to the Admin thread.

Look tired, sloppy. Don’t really deserve anything today. Bird and Knight well off the pace. Morrison just not good enough. Disappointing

Forest haven't been good, Derby have been shocking. 1 game too far in this run, didn't expect anything from this anyway.

Ebosele needs to study Johnson and learn how a player with pace should play. The Ravel sub hasn’t worked, rather had seen Joz.

Bird and Morrison both let the Forest players run past them for the 2nd goal.

1-0 down and the opposition on the break saw atleast 4 players in our team walking back to defend which results in them grabbing a second goal with more than one unmarked in the Box , absolutely shameful heart and desire in this game, should be ashamed , if I was byrne busting my gut to defend then with no-one else wanting to do the same I'd be livid screaming at each player , not good enough, really upset with the performance on show today

Shocking from everyone today. Buchanan absolutely horrendous, no reason for him to come straight back in for Forsyth. Midfield anonymous. duck off Derby.

Penalty!

Ohhh a pen!

Ref must be convinced we've already lost

I’ve gotten used to us having a poor record against Forest.

We got the better of them a few times under Clough, McClaren and once under Rowett.

But I think that now makes it 10 games without a win against them and 10 games without a win at the City Ground.

I’m not actually bothered though. They should win given where the two clubs and sides are at right now.

I think we’ve got far bigger things to worry about, and even on the pitch the next two home games against Birmingham and Hull are far more important than this one.

I’d much rather lose to Forest and beat those two than beat Forest and lose the others.

get innnnn

Lawrence sticks it right past Samba’s lump.

And why the duck aren't you sending Samba off for that?!

Got to be red for Samba. Just swung a glove at Lawrence

If you book Lawrence, book Samba twice

Rooney has got it wrong today concerning left back position. He’s tried to fight fire with fire playing Buchanan against Jed Spence. Although Forsyth doesn’t have the pace he would have the know how given his experience. We play different with him in the side hitting him with long diagonal passes and it may have negated Spence having the ball so much.
I like Buchanan but he simply came up against a better player today. The second goal came from him not being strong enough and being bullied off the ball.

Hinchcliffe saying Cooper looks bewildered. How would you know? Every expression is like a bulldog licking piss off a nettle

Samba should have seen red. Awful refereeing to book Lawrence instead.

Watching back, samba should have been off for that.

Can we sue anyone for that?

Sorry I know we had bias but surely that would be two reds for Notts forest if VAR was involved

40 seconds to collect a ball for a throw in

Time wasting ref!!

How Samba and Lawrence got the same punishment for that, I have no idea.

Also there should be way more than 6 minutes added. There were 3 minutes between Forest's second goal and the kick off alone. Add in the other two goals, the subs and natural stoppages and it's not an adequate amount.

Ref doing a great job wasting time. Unbe ducking lievable

Feels like the ball has only been in play for about 30 seconds this stoppage time.

Sure he’ll blow up at 96:00 though

How is the ref allowing this? There’s been about 30 seconds of football in added time.

This has been a masterclass in taking the sting out of a game from both the Forest players and the referee.

They really are taking the pee with this time wasting

5 mins players and about 30 seconds. If that of the ball in play

Well if there's any fairness in this game there should be another 3mins added time on top of this... time wasting by F*rest every ducking time!

Those ducking bar stewards. I mean I know time wasting is a thing, but man it's a ducking joke so far. We've played 30 seconds out of 4mins out of 6mins total

This referee is an absolute embarrassment. Loves the sound of his own voice and whistle. Never allowed this match to flow.

Ravel can just leave the club now

now we get a red

Why’s that fool holding his face then trash talking Sibley

Samba is embarrassing.

We've had 6 minutes added time of absolutely nothing. Time wasting. ducking disgrace

I think that should be Morrison done for the year tbf.

Morrison you idiot

That’s exactly why Ravel Morrison has had a failed career. Amateur stuff.

Clumsy but not a red

You can't be serious?

Samba is absolutely vile. Embarrassment.

Samba is the most punchable man on the planet.

Colbeck isn’t far behind

Poorly managed game. By us and the ref.

Sue the ref and the EFL for this !

Totally lost it.

Some very poor performances summed up by Morrison. Very poor.

Ravel caught so many times in possession and now a red. Terrible performance by him.

We maon about all sorts but we have been well beaten today.

Even when given a lifeline we then went straight back to all the things that were bad.

Still, we've got more important things to worry about.

Last thing we need is a fine for failing to control our players.

Why’s that fool holding his face then trash talking Sibley

Horrible man. You could see it. First he cheats then he tries to get a rise from Sibley.
I love football but seeing that makes me sick and I’d feel the same no matter who they play for

Brice Samba is an embarrassment of a 'professional' footballer. Stay in your goal and do you ducking job! Don't start mouthing off at everyone! Ducking imbecile!

Just not been good enough anywhere on the pitch today.

I think we made the mistake in starting CKR, really had nothing to change it up. Ebosele is NOT a forward.

Feel a bit sorry for Forsyth  too, who has been excellent in recent weeks. Buchanan has been second best all afternoon, needed someone with a bit more experience to handle their excellent winger.

Midfield totally outclassed by older, stronger players. We lost the physical battle, but also lack that bit of class up front, that Forest have got. Maybe the occasion got to our young lads too?

Lawrence penalty came out of the blue and at least made the last few minutes interesting.

Morrison's red card puts the top hat on it. Three possible red cards and we lost that 2-1 too!

We need to get this one out of our system and regroup for the important games ahead.

The Aftermath to follow later.................

I think today’s selection was a miscalculation - made sense against a back 3, but Cooper is too astute to play the wrong formation for long.

How Samba was on the pitch at the end of the match is a mystery - should’ve been subbed OR sent off, take you pick. Can’t believe we got rattled by a concussed mummy.

Injury time was a joke, the ball was barely in play. I’d want us to do the same but I’d expect the referee to be on our case more than he was on Forest.

We move on. We have much bigger issues to deal with, and a win today wouldn’t have changed that.

Forest average, Derby awful, referee shocking and a terrible match

Just glad that’s out of the way now. 2-1 sounds better than 2-0. We got bigger issues. See you all on the admin thread……

Steve Cooper. Fist pumping the crowd like a Klopp wannabe! What a Bamford!

I'm ashamed of 'supporters' like you who can't wait to turn on these players who have been giving absolutely everything for us, despite the circumstances they find themselves in.

I'm really upset that people like you can't wait to crawl out of the woodwork at the first sign of adversity and quite frankly I'd be quite happy to lose 'fans' like you.

Strange game for me that, id say we didn’t deserve anything because we were poor, but other than their goals they didn’t really have any clear chances like we did, should’ve/could’ve easily ended up 3-2 to us.

The ref was never going to allow us to build any momentum this game with his obsession with blowing the whistle for the smallest foul, despite missing the obvious red card challenge from Grabban in the first half. We were pretty dreadful though, other than the Lawrence chance which he had to score, we didn't create anything at all and were pretty hopeless.

Samba is a disgrace

Am I the only one who thinks that Morrison slows everything down to much, destroying any attacking momentum we build? Thought the red was harsh as his foot was obviously lifted by glancing off the ball, but I, for one, won't be sorry that we will be using different midfield options for the next three games.

Don't agree that players should be booked or punished for "trying to get a rise out of the opposition" - in this case Samba and Colback. If you're a professional, you simply don't rise to it. They're not children, they're grown adults who are supposed to be at work.

Ref fancied an easy afternoon so let Forest manage the game.

They deserved to win though, Derby just never got going from about 20 minutes on.

Probably the wrong game to bring Buchanan back but I can see why he did it.

Ref lost control of that at the end, samba should of been sent off, clearly goading morrison as to why the scenes at the end

Incoming fine for the melee at the end, on our desk by Monday morning.

Maybe I'm oversensitive, but I wasn't happy watching Buchanan shaking hands with the forest players, full of smiles at the end.

Can’t wait until we beat Forest again on my 50th birthday.

This game is a write off, is every season. Something about it turns all of our players into amateurs. We move on.

Not fussed at all, bigger things to worry about than these Bamfords, we'll fight to the end

I didn’t realise the red scum had won automatic promotion today with that result! I assume that’s why they are celebrating so manically.

Ah well you’ve got to let the inbreds celebrate something - they’re not going up and their one decent player will be gone in the summer

Like many have said not a red for me. Foot rolled over the top of the ball which made the contact higher. Typifies the powderpuff world we live in. Very poor end to the game for us. Slightest contact and they’d go down. Played right into their hands. Lawrence should have fired us infront but it is what it is. No complaints really from me today. We move onto bigger and more important things. Not usually what I’d say after a F*rest game but we need to look at the bigger picture.

EFL sponsored whistle from the 89th minute

I think it would have been worth sacrificing another player just to see Colbeck flattened. Samba should have been given a second yellow too. The ref was soft on them throughout.

Morrison shouldn't play for Derby again imo. I don't think the challenge was a bad as it appeared on first look but the guys a headcase

Not going to lie, apart from Samba's behaviour, I couldn't care less.  We still have 13 points out of 18.

For me this wasn't the big game, all my emotion is in the Middlesbrough game.

Immediate thoughts, admittedly after only seeing the second half due to other commitments.

Forest deserved the win we were poor. Referee didn’t half help them though.

Got to question Buchanan starting after so long. Guess he wanted more pace against Johnson (who was excellent) but still got skinned everytime. And gave the ball away so many times. As did the rest of the team really, we gave it away soooo much.

Morrison Touch and pass deserted him when he came on. Can see why it was a red but bit harsh. All came from another poor touch though.

Ball was in play for around a minute of the 6 minutes of injury time. All teams time waste but Forest really took the P and the ref let them get away with it.

And not beaten them for 5 years

What's with all these insults about Steve Cooper's appearance?

Yeah, really ridiculous that and makes us look really small time. Forest give us so much material we can rip them for without having to stoop to that.

We weren't good enough today,  but red carding Morrison when Grabban only sees yellow tells me all I need to know about that ref.

We gave the ball away too easily didn’t create much at all. I don’t think they were any better than us after how I’ve seen us play.

Ravel Morrison’s decision making is woeful - we won’t miss him one bit. Would have much rather seen Jozwiak.

I cannot stand Samba. Would have been nice to shut him up with a late equaliser.

Just seen the Grabban challenge again, had forgotten about it. More of a red than Ravels….

Upsetting to lose to the trees but they probably deserved it overall. Don't shoot me down but I think that was Rooney's last game

Derby players should’ve reacted to Grabban tackle the way theirs did to Morrison’s.

If the tables were turned we’d be very happy with how we’d managed the last 6 minutes .
Unfortunately ball control was poor from us at crucial moments in the 2nd half and their second goal was very well taken. Got to feel we could have snatched a point and Grabban should have been off.

Another referee that’ll sleep well tonight in his Forest bedsheets. Hopefully it gives us a bit of fire in the belly for the next one.

If Morrison's tackle was a red card then Grabban should have seen a red card for is foul on Thompson.

The good thing about Morrison's sending off means he won't be in the team for a few games.

Shame we can't get him off the wage bill. I think he's a liability.

Didnt Fozzy get banned retrospectively for an accidental step backwards on the opposition player?

Will Grabbans challenge be re-visited? It's quite clear from the replays....

If that’s the best the Red Scum can do against a Derby County team at its lowest ebb in terms of squad depth and quality they are welcome to the win. We’ve got bigger fish to fry and they are not going up so it’s a bit of a free hit in my opinion - next weeks game is much more important to me and I can’t wait to be there.

This is the first time where it hasn’t really bothered me loosing to the red dogs, of course it’s not nice but we have much bigger issues ahead. Really annoyed with Samba’s behaviour though, surely it had to be a second yellow, disgraceful. Anyway we go on

Disappointing result, where I think a draw would not have been an overly unfair reflection of the game. Shame to lose to that lot, but rather lose this one than any the of next run of 5 games we have.

Battling performance. The young lads did us proud, although none of them had the best of games, but they are all maturing nicely (other than perhaps Sibbo) and if we can hold on to them we have a good team forming. Probably the biggest miss today was Shinnie; not a particularly big fan of his, but it was the kind of scrappy game where he would have been a better switch for Tommo after he was booked, rather than Morrison. Forest won because arguably they had the two best players on the day - Johnson who is some talent, and Spence at right back.

We can’t keep winning games. Today won’t be a bad day if Reading, Peterborough and Hull all join Cardiff by not making any great ground on us.

Whilst it was a disappointing afternoon there's some positives to take from that I think.

First half hour you couldn't tell which team was in admin and had been under transfer embargoes for most of the last four windows. Most of the youngsters had bright moments, for Thompson's physical mismatch vs every player on the pitch I thought he covered really well for Buchanan and stopped them getting behind a few times. Knight, Bird and Festy didn't have their best games but showed they are able to mix it at this level. I've never been Lawrence's biggest fan but thought his overall performance was pretty good, sitter miss aside. We'll let him off after last weeks two bangers.

We're asking a lot for that team to compete week in week out so whilst it's disappointing to end our unbeaten run I think we can appreciate how good they've been recently, just one game too far. Hopefully we can keep the squad together, get Bielik back in a few weeks and keep picking up points.

A game too far, and with the news lane yesterday and off field distraction too far. In a nutshell we looked mentally shattered and we played in the middle of the pitch rather than using Ebosele against Lowe which we all know was their weak spot.

Bird and Thompson were poor overall, but it’s not a game to suit them. The impact of loosing Shinnie last weekend probably reared it’s head in todays game as we couldn’t battle and get the ball out wide into those positions we needed.

It ain’t a red, how Morrison played when he came on played into their hands so I’m not defending him from that point of view, but yeah its just a strong challenge to make sure he got there first. He’s not endangering their player.Ref needed a calm head, but it was long gone those last few minutes. Once he booked Lawrence he was done for. We never get anything in these games unfortunately.

They aren’t a bad side, but they ain’t a good one either. Better sides than us will see a weak defence and quite a few players who are capable of loosing their heads. Spence is some player though, dominated front and back.  Probably the MOTM overall. They showed a lack of any class at the end and it showed them up a bit. Uncalled for in the context.

Score was about right, poor refereeing yet again but yet again we weren’t so much beaten, we lost that game.

Cooper made a great change of formation after about 20 minutes, and we didn’t respond until well into the second half. And the kingpin playmaker gave the ball away in dangerous positions 3 times, and didn’t do much else apart from getting sent off. His red card was arguably a bit harsh, and still justifiable. And also it was a stupid challenge given that the ref gave Forest everything for nothing and us hardly anything at all.

Samba only got a yellow for lashing out at Lawrence, who got a yellow for being there. It was arguably a red for Samba, who should have had a second yellow for getting involved in the fracas at the end.

We should have had Sibley on instead of Morrison, who will only be accused of not changing the game when he had a whole 10 minutes to do it in.

In the end we got what we should have out of the match, and it is our own responsibility for it. We couldn’t change it up enough when we needed to.

With what happened after the final whistle. What charges will the EFL dream up, so they can dock us a few more points.

Kudos to Sibley for not punching Colbeck btw.

I wouldn't get too down about this. We were just a bit off it today, it was bound to happen at some point. We've just come off a streak of 5 games unbeaten, 4 of them wins. It's just a shame it had to end against them lot.

Even though it was a poor game, the key moments went against us. Each team had two chances, forest took theirs and we didn't. That's it. More or less every decision went their way and the referee allowed them to run the clock down at the end which was a complete disgrace.

It’s just the same game everytime at the city ground. Whether it’s 5 mins into first half or second, we concede and then look inept to get back in the game. No matter the team or manager IM GOING TO IMPLODE.

Started well. Lawrence will be the first to admit he should’ve buried that chance.

Cooper made the right change at the right time and we didn’t adapt to the change well.

Came out quick in 2nd half but the goal from a set piece was a sucker punch and put us on the back foot.

Ravel wanted too much time on the ball for a local Derby in the championship. Plange starting with Kaz coming on works better over the 90 too.

Their 2nd was great play from Johnson.

Cooks challenge for the penalty was a higher foot than Morrisons red card.

Samba has no right to charge out and try and start fights.

Colback is annoying Bamford but suits Forest down to the ground.

A game of what ifs after a bright start. We need to get through this month and concentrate on survival on and off the pitch.

I actually thought it was a good game....poo result, poo ref, but a good contest

Very painful game to watch. Stop, start, stop, start. And a full return to perilously playing it around the back, which very nearly cost us another goal.

Safety suddenly looks a lot further away, but I believe the lads can do it, providing we don't lose any more players and actually survive the season...

There’s competitive winding up / sledging and then there is cheating - different things .. that mouthy ginger lad held his hand to his face .. he was lying in order to get an opponent booked. That’s is pure dirt and should not be allowed in the game. For me fake hands to faces and feigning injury should be straight red. I’m serious. This is sport, you just don’t do it.

Samba assaulted Lawrence off the ball, Lawrence retaliated. The rules probably say yellow for both. Samba has no excuse at all. Lawrence as captain might have done better but when adrenaline is high these things happen.

Did Forest create much in either half? They were the better team but not by much.

I enjoyed Derbys performance to be honest we played football throughout

obviously Grabban could / should have been sent of for the challenge on Thompson’s stomach and definitely  should have been with at least two more challenges from behind whilst on a booking but the ref didn’t get do his job probably that said the bounce of the ball dropped for him and he scored followed by a break away goal once we were pushing plenty of bodies forward. We should have scored through Lawrence and could easily have done in the second half but the bounce of the ball didn’t go our way until we actually were given our second penalty of the season which was well taken.

Morrison doesn’t seem to actually help us a great deal does he as he looks slow and the speed of our play drops when he is in possession that said I think the sending off was harsh and not in the same league compared to the Grabban one.

special mention to the notts forest goalkeeper who appears to need some help which should have come from the refereee firstly he should have been booked for standing in front of the penalty spot for so long booked for being a fool after we scored should have been booked further up field following that and should have been booked after the final whistle one out of four bookings was a lucky result for him and what is it about small ginger haired people the red one today expressed his desire to never be invited to anything and comes across as a complete well you know what.

considering we have a few old professionals and a load of academy kids we looked very decent without having obviously a goal scorer on the books - forest get the points but they should probably be a bit concerned because they didn’t deserve them.

Gutted, didn’t deserve to lose but didn’t deserve to win. I can’t say the best team won because I thought we were very equal, which for them must be worrying because of how team has been assembled vs how theirs has. The injury for Samba was awful, I really hope it’s as bad as it looked. Harsh red card, I thought his foot lifted because it bounced on top of the ball which he actually won. Shame Tom didn’t score 1st half, I think we’d have won it if he did.

Shame we changed a lot of the things that we’ve been doing well today, we seemed to be more bothered about matching up to them than playing our game.

I think fatigue also played a part on the pitch too, it’s been a physical and emotional rollercoaster for everyone. Today was where we missed Shinnie and jags.

We started brightly enough, but Cooper put a stop to that with a smart tactical change.

Lawrence tucks that first chance away and it’s a different game. Sadly not to be.

Morrisons red maybe harsh, certainly in light of Grabban and Samba’s transgressions. That said I don’t understand why Morrison gets on the field well before Sibley or anyone else. Sure if we’re winning bring him on to strangle the life out of the game, but if we’re chasing then forget it!

Didn't do enough there.  Bad decision to take of Richards as their was nothing else up top.  Young lads caught in headlights a bit.  Morrison was pants.  Ref let them off with murder in injury time and goalie had to go.  Can't let in goals like the first and expect to get much .

Cant believe some on here are calling the lads , was there today and i felt it was a game of very fine margins , toms miss in the 1st half , mckennas block on Ravs shot , not too much to divide either team , forest had a better 2nd half but rarely troubled , ref let occasion get to him at times , the booking for tom was laughable , and the bang to that comedy goalkeeper led him to believe he could fight the world.

Forest used 5 loan players today - one of whom signed this month - and also had one new signing in the starting XI. Derby have no loan signings, no new signings and have just lost 3 regular first-team players and 2 young occasional squad players. It's pretty remarkable that we made it a fairly even game which swung on major slices of luck, bad refereeing decisions and, to be fair, 2 good finishes from them.

I thought that Rooney's selections in the end didn't work and we got a bit sloppy chasing the game, but I don't feel particularly annoyed about the result because it could have gone the other way.

Fingers crossed now that Rooney stays and matters off the pitch take a step forward this week.

Well that was a tough watch. Thought the Derby fans today were impeccable. Brilliant support for the team. Yeah we weren’t great today at times but it’s hard to criticise, we’re a club that’s been cut off at the knees yet we’re still fighting and giving everyone a game. Notts deserved to win because of some major luck and vastly larger resources. We’re pushing these lads hard, it was too far for Thompson today we could’ve done with Shinnie. Goals change games and we had a massive chance at 0-0 and were unlucky with another one at 1-0. Grabban being sent off as he should’ve been could’ve been pivotal.

We move onto bigger battles ahead as we fight to ensure our very existence and pull off the great escape. But be proud of being Derby, be proud of Rooney and the players. It could be worse. We could be Forest. 27000 red dogs and until they scored if you took away the Derby fans you would’ve heard a pin drop. After waving the Money and all that they could’ve been raucous they could’ve drowned us out, they were pitiful.  An absolute embarrassment and an example how not to support your club.

Derby should sue Forest because if Grabban had been sent off Derby could stay up and next year get promoted and then they’d win the European Cup when they won the Premier League.

Found myself today completely resigned to moaning about the decisions because what’s the point?the EFL won’t retrospectively ban any of the following decisions:

Grabban on Thompson

Samba on Lawrence + mentalist antics

Who the hell grabbed Sibley at the end?

Nothing will come of it as the EFL will turn a blind eye where the Rams are concerned.

(Hopefully) Final points for today:

Sky: Cooper’s a tactical genius

Me: Not really, he moved an obviously struggling midfielder out of defence and into midfield because he had the players to do so. Derby couldn’t respond to this because of the EFL transfer embargo in place meaning weve lost two valuable players to how we were setting up. Can I mention we also aren’t being paid for this game?

Final point…

…those Forest flags…a bit crap?

I have only been to the City Ground once in my life. When we complained at things being thrown at us the stewards just laughed.

Me and many people I know who are otherwise away game regulars just don't go there.

Second worst stewards I have experienced.  Leeds being the worst!

At Forest, the club, police and stewards all know its going to happen. Every match v Derby its happened since we've been in that lower tier of the Bridgeford Stand.

They have obviously taken a decision to allow the cave dwellers to chuck objects. If it was the other way round I'd guarantee we would have the upper tier closed down by the police.

I don't want to make a big deal of it and I'm probably wrong but, I always feel with Buchanan that it doesn't quite mean enough to him to put that extra lung-busting effort in like Knight, Bird, Ebosele, Thommo, Plange. It might just be Lee's personality or mind set, I don't know, it just seems the others will run through a brick wall whereas Buchanan would expect some else to make the gap first.
I don't go to away games now, but used to and went twice to forest, they were the worst ones ive been to and would never go again for the same reasons. No joy going to watch when its like that.
Enjoyed the “silence as usual”. Quiet until they scored. Onward and upwards
The gumps tend to be bullies. They'll throw stuff at you but when it comes to a face to face confrontation they don't want to know.
I cannot see the efl passing up on the opportunity to dish out more punishment to dcfc after yesterdays assault by the gumps.we will be fined £7m,payable by the first of feb, then docked 3 points if we pay it before we have given boro and wigan their pay offs.lawrence will be suspended for a month and fined for standing near a mad man, sibbo will also be suspended for a month and fined for putting his head in a maniacs arms.dcfc will be fined for allowing the players to try to walk down the tunnel.the gumps will get a warning for not ensuring the safety of their players

"The injury for Samba was awful, I really hope it’s as bad as it looked". How sad is that?

Unbelievable just how deluded they are reading most of those comments. Hope they get liquidated ASAP.
