He can be unplayable when fit- once every 4 years. He is getting on now though. Would like us to sign a 21 year old version as an option!

Lets not forget, we signed Nicholas Bentner who was in a similar situation to Carroll. He turned out to be an astute signing didn't he? NOT!

I will be amazed if Carroll features on Saturday. Surely Reading are not that desperate. When was the last time he kicked a ball?

He'll be injured come 3pm so not too concerned with him

Reading are under an embargo aren't they?
Otherwise they would never have signed him, they can only sign out of contract player's I think.

Their wage cap is £8k. He doesnt care about the money, he might even be playing for free. he is using Reading to get a few minutes under his belt and earn a new contract with someone in January hence his Reading contract only runs until then.

Wondering what kind of effect Reading having 6 points docked will have on them. Will it get them really fired up or have the opposite effect.

It's another team below Forest in the league. Deservedly docked points? It's put pressure on their season. Forest have had their own battle to come through re: start to the season (which was disastrous) and their own internal struggle to get back to competency, regardless of what Reading do. Cooper mentioned it briefly in the pre-match interview. But I like how he puts the emphasis on football matters and what his job is to do. ie. Prepare Forest for the next match. I like his 'here is now' focus. SA.
