Nottingham Forest - Fulham
Positives
- Samba only faced 3 Fulham shots from memory.
- Good crowd who stayed with the team.
- Still in comfortable mid table
- Expectations will be tempered a little.
- Ex sheep got booked.
Negatives
- Score line obviously, though it hugely flattered them
- 2 gifts to go 2 down.
- calamitous defending.

We'd got away with it at the back in previous games having to come from behind. And the karma bus gave Forest a fortuitous 2-1 vs City and took away today with a flattering 4-0 line up.

You can't keep giving cheap goals like that away in the Championship. Our bubble burst as we crash landed the Forest 'air balloon' in 'style.' The previous pre-Steve frailties were there, back, middle and front.

Steve Cooper will have learned more from this than the previous winning run where Forest have ridden some 'overdue' luck and will perhaps inform his January business. A 2-3 quality players probably back, middle and front...

Forest gifted Fulham an easy win. Didn't make the most of the chances going forward.

Fulham are slick but they aren't and didn't sound invincible. But they represent the stomach churning different of clubs demoted from the Premiership and those out of it for over 20 years.

Still, we can still show the spirit of Cov' and Luton to climb higher.

A bite of reality sandwich.

We dust ourselves down and go again. This is a long term thing. When we've done and earned our nine yards we'll get the rewards.

We'd have taken the recent run of results given the disastrous start to the season. We're mid table and 'only' 4(?) points off the play offs?

There are worse fates.

Think you've summed things up pretty well there. ;)

Still f**k all on Forest TV. Hit the refresh button, and finally there was live video action. What a rip off paying 10 quid for a substandard product !! Then having to watch a 4 - 0 drubbing. Got to say though, that was even a worse ref than good old Keith Stroud. That never deserved to be 4 - 0. Saw the Man u game. That was a fair reflection IMO.
What i want to know is , where is Silva. He hasn't been playing in the Under 23's as far as I can see. Also he is not mentioned in the injured list. As we seem to no longer play the hold up type player up front, and there are no more high balls launched aimlessly in to the box, I would have thought that someone like Silva playing as a part of a front 2 or 3 would be worth a try.

Silva has played in some of the under 23's games. To be honest Zinc, Johno and Grabs have been very good recently and have deserved to keep their places.

Thought Zinc has been quite poor last 2 games, given the ball away lots. Brennan quiet too. I would maybe give those 2 a rest and start Lolley and Mighten against QPR.

I agree SM - we have a squad so use it. Both Lolley and Mighten have looked in pretty decent form when they have come on and deserve a run out.

I didn't see any reason to change a winning team. Grabbs, Zinc and Jonno have all scored goals recently and have have ripped opposition defences to pieces. They all deserved to keep their places and start yesterday against Fulham.

Who said we should have changed a winning team? Absolutely not and they should have started yesterday. But we lost therefore in Coopers shoes maybe he could change one or two for Friday.

Yes now we have lost it will be interesting to see the line up on Friday.

not too concerned after yesterday - big step up in quality from recent teams but we stuck to our guns and kept on trying. Cant really say we deserved a win or even a draw but it wasnt a 4-0 game to me. Ref to blame for 2/3 of goals imho. We are a work in progress and that was a real test yesterday.

Our new signing Silva seems to have gone of the Radar. Not playing for the U - 23's I think, or on the injured list.

As we are not lumping crosses in any more, perhaps a bit of speed up front might suit us. Assuming of course that he is fast.

It was a bad day at the office that is all, but we approached the game in the right way with the right mentality, individual errors cost us but not every side in the division possess the quality of Fulham.

We move on to Friday with confidence and I fancy us to win it.
