I fancy a Jerry Yates pen late on to win it. 0-1 to the Pool. 2,000 Blackpool fans going wild.

We should be beating teams like this!

No offence but….Why? We’ve no given right to beat any team in this division. It’s a very tough place to go and obviously they’ve picked up recently. Just hope this board doesn’t go into meltdown should we lose.

Lavery has been THE goal threat for us, noone else has better than 0.20 goals per game, confident that we'll create some chances, a lot will depend on someone else putting it away. Tough one this, would be happy with a draw.

2 - 1 to forest is what my head says
2 - 0 to pool is what my heart says

I’ll take a point. They’re playing well at the minute and we’ll miss Maxi and Lavery

Fancy us for a point, expectation will be building there and we're the perfect party poopers.

2-2 Kesh and Gaz

Gonna be noisy.

1-3 Yates perfect hatrick... heard it first

first away day of season. billy no mates as son is in Spain on a jolly. where is a good pub to meet fellow seasiders ?

From other thread looks like hooters will have a fair few pool in there (and why not) or poppy and pint.

the girls wear tangerine shorts - perfect

Just booked my ticket as a last minute decision. I’ve been to Forest 3 times before including the best match ever and never seen us lose there!

Keogh fit which is good news with a new keeper needed. 1-2 to the Pool. Yates and Bowler

Hoping for a point but it will be difficult at their place.
I remember being there in the late 70's when we lost 3-0, the year Forest were promoted under Clough. He was eating fish & chips in the same cafe as us at past 2pm with the ko at 3pm!

We've got some tough games coming up, I'd happily take a point now. We should certainly see how good our squad is with Maxwell and Lavery missing, whilst I feel we'll miss Shayne, Jerry Yates should be chomping at the bit, Maxi missing is concerning, I hope Stuart Moore steps up and takes his chance.

I really hope Jerry takes this opportunity to push on from his goal against Rovers. Pair him up with Madine.
Forest 0-1 Pool

1-1 for me Madine 73rd min ,forest to score in first half

Tricky one this. No top scorer Shayne or skipper Max. Sod‘s law we’ve caught them on the up and with what could be an almost full house. I’ll definitely take a point at the moment. They’ll be super-confident and still itching to punish us for that 3-4 2010 ‘mauling’.

1-3 Yates brace, goals Gary opens his account for the season .

Until we know who is available it is impossible to know who will make the team. I suspect there will be a bit of rotation of the 2 games, especially those on international duty. As much as we need Keogh, I wouldn't risk him if he isn't 100%. That said, I'm sure he is desperate to play against Forest given his links to Derby.

The machine has to start. We are so much more dangerous with him shithousing defenders for an hour or so and freeing space for our flying machines.
He also helps on defending set pieces.

They have had some decent performances recently so get the confidence, just as were confident but I hope we dont half shut them up come 5 tonight.

Lets hope our boys bring them back down to earth with a very loud bang!!!

I have to admit that’s it’s tempered my expectations a little!!

there 3 best players, including Lavery who has scored 99.9% of there goals ain't playing and Keogh and maybe Madine are, this all very very helpful stuff, they are a very low scoring side anyway and we score for fun

Hope to see us in the white top and tangerine shorts kit...it will give the Forest fans nightmare flashbacks.
A tough game but we are more than capable of beating any team in this league and our away form is better than at home.

Tough game today without Maxwell and potentially Keogh as it means we’re missing a real leader in the squad.
I’m comfortable with Yates and Madine playing together and think Yates will be incredibly fired up today to stake a claim for a starting role again. Real shame about Gretarsson as an injury to Keogh is exactly what he needed to get back into the squad.
I’m not sure I want Husband at LCB. I think I’d rather Epiketa at LCB and Sterling at RCB with Gabriel at RB but Husband could well bring the leadership we’re missing today.
I expect Stewart to start ahead of Dougall given his travels and Stewart brings leadership too.
I think our two back up GK’s are of similar quality but I think after Moore stepped up last game and performed well it’s his shirt to lose.

The club have done really well in ensuring we have strength in depth. My only real concern is that if anything happens to Yates or Madine then John-Jules hasn’t shown he offers anything like a real goal scoring threat.

Five changes? Wheres Anderson and Sterling? Dale on the bench. No idea how this will pan out. Nailed on win?

Come on the Pool!
nerves kicking in.

We’ve struggled with teams who set up with wing backs and two wide players who act as no.10s

Hopefully we can adjust and adapt better than we did first half against Coventry.

Madine down already

John Jules needs to calm down a bit. Couple of nervy lapses in concentation.

Looks like all Forest at the moment, hope 'pool gets a better grip of the game.

Kevin Friend terrible referee. Some shocking decisions already

Bollox!
1 down

Thought we'd have no luck there today. Had a bad feeling all day.

Gabriel out of position.Great ball to be fair

Poor defending for the first time in the match.

Sounds like bad judgement from Gabriel.

Not the ideal start with so many changes, we need to settle and get to halftime no worse than 1 down. Come on boys!!

Early days yet

Far too easy that far too much space on the wing.

We have been very hesitant and defensive I could see that coming/ Oh well, plenty of time to go, hopefully we will step it up a bit now. great ball in for they goal but where was Gabriel?

Madine trying his best to get a yellow card here.

We're not putting enough passes together to trouble their defence.

Look at the space out on the left. That’s not all Gabriel’s fault he was on his own then covering for three men

Do the players get coached how to pass a ball or retain possession in training? We give it away far too frequently turning over possession easily and quickly.

Get the ball out to Josh Bowler he has this full back on toast

very disjointed so far. Four forwards on the pitch none of who really track back means we are struggling in the rest of the pitch

Load of shite that from Stewart.

Too many not at it after not playing and playing with all the changes.

Bowler, jules and garbutt can’t find a man

Sky quoting 10/1 away win, second half we’ll come out fighting, get a tenner on

Critch will sort this sh/t out at HT and we’ll win this

Need to get to HT at 1 down and regroup with a few tweaks and possible change of Carey for TJJ.

Another Critchley rollicking at half time I hope, they need it

where's VAR when u need it
We very nearly scored then

Nothing in this. Pool have been OK. Just one ball from them inside the fullback, quick cross and their guy couldn't miss. Not much working up front for us but defensively good.

Pretty poor show that first half. I can see TJJ being replaced, probably by Dale assuming he's had enough time on the grass to be fully fit

Well they are that bit better than us at the moment.

We need to be a bit more careful when we have a chance to break.

Touch of the Boro about this; hopefully we sort out out in the second half.

Not the best half we’ve had this season were just giving the ball away far too easily.
That said not a lot in these 2 teams.

Just got in. Stats don't look great. Has this match been a difficult watch so far? In fairness, their manager's face doesn't help on that count.

Tough with so many key players out, no Maxwell, Sterling, Keshi, Dougall, Lavery. 5 of our best players.

No threat hardly, not good enough on the ball and giving it away too cheaply for a lot of it.

Forest haven't had much but the one time we switched off they score.

Must do much better, look a disjointed fairly poor side so far.

TJJ is a boy playing mens football unfortunately. Hope he proves me wrong second half.

Only 1 down though, and our passing has been off all half

Forest are nothing to fear, we can turn this around if we focus and string a couple of passes together

Don't think that scramble was close to being over the line really, but how we haven't scored there is beyond me. I'd love for someone into that sorta thing to give us the xG for that moment.

Can't say we deserve to be going in at 1 - 1 to be honest, not the greatest of halves but other away games this season have shown us not to write us off!

Ball just not falling for us in the box. It did for them and they scored. Still very much in this.

Definitely need to tweak the formation or personnel if we are going to get anything out of this game. Forest are overloading the midfield which is why our midfield is looking so hurried on the ball....

I would get Carey on, just behind the front 2

Apart from their goal it didn’t sound as if they were much of a threat up front, we can win this, remember Middlesbrough away.

We’ve been a team of two halves. If we are gash one half we seem to better in the other. Not panicking yet - Bournemouth and Middlesbrough spring to mind

Get Jerry off. Just not good enough at this level.

Much better from Gabriel there

Long ball again caught us out.

Great tackle from Gabriel.

Gabriel keeping us in this. Stopped two now.

Yates!!!!!!!!!

Who are yer! Who are yer!

Get Jerry off. Just not good enough at this level.

This aged well.

GET IN THAT NET

Yates legend

What a brilliant header by Gabriel

great finish, made it look simple

Sounds like Gabriel's played well since their goal.

Get Memphisboy off, just not good enough at this level! Get in Jerry

There’s some f*****g experts on here

That was a great cross from Bowler and a good throw in from Gabriel, It's great to see Jerry score again.

Bollox again!!

Good save then goal, I heard. Foul on the keeper?

FFS!! we didn't deserve that

What was John Jules doing after Gabriel’s cross then? He is dangerously pedestrian there.

If you're playing at this level and can't be arsed you shouldn't be anywhere near the shirt.

Poor that, gave them the ball for the break, a simple header to a team mate from Keogh and we retain the ball.

Come on Pool, go again

No foul. Ball came over and ricochets straight from our defender to the Forest attacker. Good save then from Grimshaw but straight to Grabben 2 yards out.

We re still well in this. Madine to score

JJ inept, no desire or heart.

Don't agree with this at all!! He's a young lad trying to step up..

We have a really good squad and players to come back, we will sign a couple of new players in January and I think TJJ will be sent back to Arsenal.

We have been the better side second half and we look a decent Championship side.

Oh what a surprise.... Stewart is injured!!

Come on king Kenny. Left foot, right foot to win the match for us

We are definitely no worse than any team I’ve seen in this division so far.

This ref is an absolute joke

We're playing some good football now.

Madine offside again now, too many times today.

Madines not been at his best today. Interesting replacement though in Carey

Another wasted free kick from Garbutt

Not the best performance today

These things happen, I'm just frustrated that we don't seem to create anything like the chances we did last season

We aren't playing against shitters anymore are we!

There is not much to beat in this league so far but we won’t win against mediocre teams with 90% possession moving the ball backwards

Has Carey had a touch yet?

Just not created enough at all

Most disappointing result

We've beaten Fulham, drawn with Bournemouth, narrow defeat against Coventry, beaten Rovers. We are pretty much on a level with these sides. The league table is down to the first 5 games when we were adjusting and missing people.

Not a great performance and the better team won.

Disappointing, but if we are being charitable, there's a lot of injuries affecting preparation and formation.

Why is it we insist on still f*****g about with it when there is 2 minutes of the game left? Just put it in the box and at least give it a chance.

Pretty crap stuff, no cutting edge hardly.

Some terrible passes at times putting us right in the S**t.

No urgency at the end, never deserved to win that game.

Very disappointing.

As expected a narrow defeat. Injuries taking their toll. Still need more creativity and a replacement for JJ who offers little.

The 5 changes today disrupted our style of play.

Credit to Forest they bossed the game but we were disappointing giving the ball away far too easily.

I feel sorry for the fans that went and had to endure that abject performance.

We had more of the ball late on mainly because forest sat back and defended what they had.

They looked far better on the ball for most of it.

When we get into good positions the lack of a killer ball is meaning moves we do have often come to nothing.

Really? I thought Forest looked decent, we’re down a few players also. I think Hull was more dissapointing, they were there for the taking.

I don't have an issue with how we play at all, the thing that is missing isn't a change in style it's that 1 or 2 creative players who would have broke forest down today and got us a point or maybe all 3. We don't have them yet. Let's remember though, we are a work in progress.

We weren’t bad. We did get sloppy at the end and wasted so much of our own time with passes in and around our own box Forest must have thought it was their Birthday. We repeatedly bottle out of making the killer ball and as such no one has anything to run on to and it’s quite easy for the opposition to defend. Why TJJ gets a start I honestly can’t fathom it. I’m beginning to wonder whether there is a promise of playing him for so many minutes or something. It’s awful to say it but I hope he gets an injury which keeps him out of the squad as he brings absolutely nothing, and isn’t even working hard for the team when he is on the pitch. Anderson, Mitchell, Dale, Carey even Garbutt playing further up the pitch must offer a better option ?!

We’re a decent Championship team and with a couple of signings and better luck on the injury front we’re a good Championship team capable of holding our own in the top half.

Am I the only one who doesn't think we were that bad? Can't argue with the result but I don't think we played as woefully as being made out. With a major injury crisis I don't think we seemed that out of the game, a win for Forest was the fairest result but if it had ended in a draw I don't think it would have been unfair all things considered.

All in all not that bad, certainly not a good performance but not terrible IMO.

Bad day at the office ,forest deserve their win , onto the next game, looking forward to an evening in reading, well watching the match anyway, not reading itself. Although I've never seen us win there. !

The in form team who hadn’t won at home, until today. I don’t accept the argument about players missing as Critchley has said on numerous occasions it’s a squad game and we have a strong squad with good players waiting for a chance, he says. No matter who plays, as I said earlier, the first thing in their minds is backwards, no matter if we are winning or losing, it’s backwards, backwards, backwards. Get the bloody ball in the box and see what happens, there is no urgency about any one of them. A complete change of mind set is required.

I thought we would lose to forest, even without our injuries. I wish they'd held on to Houghton till after we played them! Of the next 3 games I thought this would be the toughest one given forest's up turn in form.

We're doing okay, still 7 points off the bottom 3 and 5 points off the playoffs - I still think mid table would be an incredible result for us this season, given how much everyone wrote us off before a ball had been kicked, and staying out of the bottom 3 would still be amazing!!

I hope we can get something off Reading at least and maybe punt for the win. TJJ needs to get the f**k out of whole squad nevermind the first 11! And I'm annoyed we didn't see Dale, hoping he can at least come off the bench in midweek, ready for him to terrorise the Nobbers on Saturday.

It wasn't that bad, away at the form side I would have been pleased with a point. There was plenty of effort but the final pass and a bit of guile were missing.
Slightly disappointing but wouldn't describe it as abject.

I only managed to get the game on to watch 1 minute before we scored, we bossed that second half possession wise and had a nailed on pen on TJJ waved away by the ref(1-1) at the time, saying he took the ball, the guy didn’t touch the ball.
Fine margins decide most games at this level, could quite easily have got 3 points but came away with none, that’s football!

Not the best performance by a long way. But we still had our moments. gabriel had a bit of a mare first half, but found his feet second half. thougrht Madine and Jerry did Ok without setting the world on fire. Tjj, theres a very good player in there might be a bit lightweight though. Bowler was at his both frustrating and brilliant best quite often in the same move.

Thought Stewart was a bit out of the game never really go going, we wer much better when King kenny arrived, Wintle had a decent game up till the last 15 minutes when he decided to play suicide football, which seemed to spread across the whole back line for a period. Keogh was left standing so many times, Marv was basically doing the job of two again, and he didnt have his best game in tangerine.

forget about it, im sure critch will look at what the problems are and we go again on Tuesday.

I watched the classic forest game the other night and for me to see that team taking chances with the ball, being positive is what is missing a lot in this team.

Too safe a lot of the time.

Sometimes you have to try, try the through ball etc.

Just back, we didn’t deserve anything.

They pressed us well, but we invited all sort of trouble playing the ball around at the back. We had Madine in the team and we failed to use him, to pin them back. We must have wasted 20 minutes of the game passing in our own half.

Jerry excellent all round, Gabriel had a good game, arguable he was slightly too far off his man for the goal, but then the 2 centre backs didn’t prevent the goal. Gabriel did prevent 2 goals with great covering tackles 2nd half.

Bowler, poor again, zero end product. The cross for the goal was straight into the keepers hands, only for the defender to do us a favour. The lad flatters to deceive, and Mitchell is just miles ahead.

On the other side, TJJ just nothing. A boy against men. He cost us the 2nd goal by trotting to the ball in the corner - their lad was 10m behind him and should never have got that ball up the pitch, allowing them to break.

Get Hubby in for Garbutt, who really isn’t delivering much going forward and defensively he gets ripped.

Big away following and a toothless performance. They are not a great team, good going forward, but we just didn’t test them at the back.

The positive, well we are disappointed, because we are better than that.

From all the away days, that was by far the best atmosphere I have experienced in the EFL, credit to Nottingham Forrest, the place was bouncing. Blackpool loud & proud as always

I must say I was blown away from #nffc home support today! I’ve ever seen a ground rocking like that in all my years following the tangerines. Hopefully the same for the reverse fixture, just obviously not the result!
