I think you have your answer, we are where we are on merit (or absolute lack of). The fact that Derby, with all their problems still seem to be fighting and being competetive should make us question the 'talent' we have.

What I refuse to believe is that Derby’s bunch of kids and geriatrics are a better team than us. I hope Cooper can improve them but yes its a lot of work.

firstly i'm hoping they realise they are the best team

Cooper will have a sense of urgency and make changes sooner rather than later

we'll have to become more urgent about getting things happening

I share your sentiment. That they are even able to field a side with a rookie manager is a miracle, let alone one that can be competitive. Its actually starting to irritate me a bit. This side under a new manager should have the bit between their teeth.
