Whilst we are at it, does the title need changing to New Coach (Not Manager)

'The Dear Forest fans' letter was a great touch.  I don't recall a former manager being going that direct to the Forest fans or that disarmingly modest (he's certainly got the killer instinct of a shark, his Swansea dumped Forest out the play offs after all...). He's clearly done his homework on the 'style and verve' of our greatest success under our greatest manager.

Still.  He didn't HAVE to say those words.  But words do matter and they get people on side.  But actions will matter more.

All good foreplay, yes.  Give me the moonlight.  Candles.  Mood music.  Charming the Forest birds off the trees...

(I almost slipped into my negligee.).

Let's hope he can 'perform' when it gets 'muck and nettles' in the Championship vs Millwall.

Sportinglife have a great article on Hughton vs Cooper's stats and an overview of his time at Swansea. (Some impressive numbers on Cooper's resume.). All makes for interesting reading if anyone wants further insight into Cooper and his time there and what he brings (or could) to Forest.

Noting that his time at Swansea was initially attacking in the 1st season then somewhat pragmatic in the 2nd.

"Forest fans got fed up with Hughton and won’t want more of the same. 2020/21 Cooper would be exactly that. 2019/20 Cooper would be a breath of attacking fresh air, though."

'In the meetings with Dane, he explained where he'd like the club to go and how we can go about that - it's something that really appealed to me.' Steve.

Just the sound of a CEO having some sort of 'vision' is refreshing. But having both the CEO and the 'Coach' on the same page at the outset is something that seems to be a departure from just installing 'a' manager.

They sound like they're on the same page. We've had a lot of 'not joined up' thinking in the key leadership positions at Forest.

Hopefully, Steve can arrest Forest's league position and get a couple of transfer windows under his belt to pan out Dane's vision for Forest.

Time to give this thread a dust down.
I’ve said before that I’m 100% behind coops and still am…( well 98% now) I think it will be a crying shame if he goes but I don’t own the club and I think EM might have seen enough.
Tuchel anyone?
