That team last night was worth 100s of millions. Traore alone is being bandied about as a 30-40m player this window. If we’d have spent that much on the centre forward I’d have wanted our money back- thought he was poor for long periods. Dendonka has been in the Belgian team. This team should have won against Spurs. However it is frustrating as we were going toe to toe with them just a few seasons ago.

I hear ya. Forks in the road, eh? They took theirs...we took ours.) For all their 100s of millions, our Academy kept them out for the 1st half. Vs our u23s. Some might say that was an empty victory. I don't. SA.

U23s beat Blackburn 4-1 in the Premier League Cup. Two goals from Lolley and one each from Konate and Swan.

Looks like we're adapting to life 'at the top.' Good to see Lolley on the score sheet and young guns, Konate and Swan. Andy Reid seems to be enjoying life as u23 coach. Talking about relishing the challenge of the Cat 1 standard. I liked some of his ideas about the press, the high fullbacks, getting possession back within 3 seconds, being aggressive etc. Talks a good game. SA.

That result suggests that we have a good crop of u18s - Liverpool have spent gazillions on their academy!
