Post of the month! How many permanent additions has Hughton had in the last year SM?

So positive thoughts ahead of Derby:

Derby are S**t
Garner has signed now
Worrall might be back(?)
Zinckernagel looks good
We don't have a game for a few weeks afterwards so less suffering
It'll be over by lunchtime

We had 'some' pre-season.
We won our games pre-season and 1 draw.
Car' and many of the returning loans played in pre-season.
12 Academy players in the squad.
5 Academy players in the 1st team.
We appointed a new CEO.
We appointed a recruitment committee which has Gary Brazil amongst others...)
Hughton's managerial experience has Forest competing in all the games we've played so far.  Getting back into games and holding out for quite a while.
Hughton has the team starting brightly in the league games.
There is attacking intent.
Hughton has listened to the fans and involved Car'.
Hughton has played youth.  Eg. Brennan, Car', Mighten, Gabriel, Yates etc.
Hughton has given both strikers a chance.
Hughton has stayed with Samba despite Horvath pushing for his place.
Hughton is showing faith in the players at his disposal.
We have scored goals.
Horvath's promising displays in the cup.
The Academy holding out against a £100 million plus squad for an hour.
Zinc Man.
ZINC MAN!
The Academy defeating Bradford.
Fin Back.
Richardson.
Fornah.
Forest are competing for quality targets in the transfer market.
Garner.  We got 'our man.'
We've changed our recruitment model to be more 'balanced' and overall younger going forwards.
We have an excellent manager to balance this transition going forwards.

IF we get the 4-5 more we need in, we should be able to get about them with the international break for another mini-pre-season with the new faces to re-load and begin the fightback.

And there's loads more.

How many?

The positive from the loans?  They're Zinc Man and Garner.

That's great news.

Hopefully Worrall can make it for the Derby game.  I'm sure he won't want to miss it.

He's been a big miss for Forest.

Yeah, this whole mess is IMO the fallout from the mismanagement of the past few years, where Vrentroz was the driving force behind a short-sighted and naïve....ahem.....*stratergy*.

That's now changed, whilst some people may be upset about the lack of transfers, I'm far happier that we're taking our time getting in players who are deemed to be the right fit at the right price.

It's still very early days yet, I don't expect things to be perfect, but I think if the next 5 or so days go our way and Dane is given time & backing we'll build a proper foundation which will see us thrive further down the line.

We really could just be a few weeks away from a new attacking manager with a few Zinc-level signings, and looking forward again.

Its on page 3 compared to the Transfers in/out thread now on page 321 which might end up on 400 pages closely followed by the mass suicide, slit my wrist and gently float by the Trent end thread once the window is closed.

The weather looks favourable for saturday with no snow being forecast in the Derby area. So fingers crossed the match should be on!!
