Im with you SSM. We seem to have this habit at Forest of watching new keepers for 1 game before declaring they are the best since Shilton.
Remember people saying Paul Smith was the greatest shot stopper in the league. How lucky we were to land an international like Stojkovic. We have had some proper dross here and Samba isnt one of them.
That said he clearly needs someone to push him and agree yesterday’s second did him no favours although from where I was sitting, 100 yards away admittedly, that shot went like a rocket.

Horvath made a few saves but he was very reluctant to come out for high balls, so I'm not sure where SA gets the 'progressive/aggressive' stuff from.

That said, expecting any keeper to save Coventry's 1st or Bournemouth's 1st is absolute nonsense.

The only nonsense is his crap 'saves' and him losing us 6 points.  Fully to blame.  He's costing points.  (If I'm being generous?  He can take a bow with the fullbacks.  Who were turned over by Bournemouth's quad bike rotavators.)

(Samba was well beaten for all four goals.  Stood routed.  Or scrabbling around on the floor.  The composure of Bambi on Ice.  Deliriously slow perception of time and space.)

SA is busy using the 'Magic Sponge' on my tender areas after getting kicked in the Nads with the last two league games.

It takes a while for the sting to go down.

Absolutely, hence why I never mentioned it; unless it took a deflection then that was a poor mistake & he deserves criticism. No need to invent criticism elsewhere though.

One thing that's been bugging me, everyone is complaining about Colback and Yates playing together which is fine, it's obviously not ideal. (although they played well first half vs Cov)

However, who is everyone wanting to play instead? Cafu? Fornah? Johnson or Zinck playing deeper? If we played 433 then we'd need a third midfielder which we don't have.

Given Fornah hasn't played a league game before, do we really think bringing him in for Yates or Colback (assume Colback) will make a difference?

He may well of come out smelling of roses, we don't know, but there's also a chance he might've made a bad error or not been up to the required standard which might've knocked him back. Gently gently with the young lads for me. Like they're doing with Mighten, who looks like he's progressing very nicely.

He's a great example. Played because we had no alternative, has his confidence been given a massive hit? I hope not. He didn't shine but the opposition were 1st class and put in a top away performance.

Gabriel didn't have the best game but was left exposed by senior pros around him - not
tracking, not giving him options on the ball etc.
