I just checked on the trains for Aug 8 departing Nottingham to the Coventry Arena, to Leicester change, then change at Nuneaton then 3 stops down to the Coventry Arena, ie the CCFC ground, there is a 13.08 departure from Nott'm, you could get the 14.08 which just gets you there in time.
2 negatives, 1 is a 41 minute wait at Leicester for the Nuneaton train, the other is a bus replacement service between Nuneaton and Bermuda and then a few minutes down to (past Bedworth) the Coventry Arena.
The above journey takes a couple of hours which would of been much quicker if not for standing around at Leicester for 40 minutes costs around £22.60 return.
The other alternative is the train takes you via Derby then B'ham New street and then change at Coventry and upto Coventry arena, this route costs around £28.30, seems going via B'ham N st costs £6 more.
Basically I'm going to watch it in the boozer, it's just too much hassle or i'm too old for all this.

From what I've seen in preseason I'm not looking forward to this. They are looking pretty strong and we are under prepared for this with a weak squad. Would take a point right now against one of the team's we are going to be battling in bottom half this year. Not saying we are in a relegation fight this year but it will be a tough season with the change of direction of the club which is well needed.

i could see Coventry potentially doing this season what Barnsley did last season, i guess many teams could, i think we took all the points last season but i thought Coventry looked a good, high tempo, creative, positive attacking side also back 'home' again, probably a sell out, on sky.
If we were to win this it means we are in good shape, maybe even better, fitter and wiser, yes Johnson and Lolley seem like new signings and McKenna and Worral will fight whatever the odds, but have we totally squandered the transfer window and pre-season on a potentially bigger scale than last season?

Regardless of signings, this is a tough game. The emotional return to playing in Coventry will really boost them. Probably would go with same teams as above aside from Carvalho at 10. 2 from 3 out wide (Mighten, Lolley & Johnson).
The great LB debate? Bong or Soh? I'd probably go for a Frank Clark/Kenny Swain style right footed LB solution therefore, Soh or even a youngster like Fernandez or Richardson.

Whatever happens if we lose it will be Bongs fault even if he doesn't get on the pitch until the 89th minute.
Panic on the streets of Croydon, Derby, Sheffield, Leicestershire.

Back to football, yeah I can see a defeat for this one. Dont think we are ready as a squad, not just left back and Cov will be well up for the game.
