I am genuinely very happy with our start.

Quite looking forward to a time when the players are used to playing with and for each other.

I get the feeling Karanka is getting close to knowing his preferred eleven.

I would like to focus on the what has happened after the international break as I believe we have turned a corner and are starting to play much more as ONE team. In that period we have played 4 games 2 home and 2 away and we have collected 8 points which gives us an average of 2 points per game. If we are to continue that form we should end up with 87 points. That should bring us very close to auto places. My point being that anything is still very much possible.

I feel this squad will grow stronger and stronger and not fade away.  

Not impressed with WBA, they have good forwards but are very weak in other areas.  Will be interesting against Boro, if we can beat them (and I think we can) then it will prove we can go for the auto's.

Cant see us beating boro, based on current form. Jusf dont think we're there yet in an attacking sense to break down their defence.

But, if we can go up fhere and beat them then its game on for the season.

The first ten games (with the amount of players we brought in) was always going to be iffy.
But to be honest I think we would all have settled for where we are now at the beginning (except those that got carried away of course!!!)

We sit in 11th. place at the moment, but had we got the win against Blackburn on Saturday we would have been 5th. - all if's and buts I know (fine margins)

This team is still finding it's way but when we are firing on all cylinders (perhaps in another month) then we will start to make our move - maybe we won't trouble the top 2 but should we be there or there about's come the last half a dozen matches these are the games which I think will determine our destiny...................

My prediction - 17 points from 21 but I would still settle for 15.

That is my (positive thinking) predictions based on our squad coming on really strong at the end of the season, well within the top six.

So far i say we are showing signs of what could be, but still inconsistent so more time needed and yet we are still in and around the top 6. So i'm hopeful we will be firing come end of season.

Before the last international break I was disappointed , both with the results obtained and the performances. Everyone blaming the gelling and stuff like that.
Fast Forward four games (league) and one (cup), my mood is a bit better (much better), but still not entirely convinced, but at least results are coming. The win v Rotterham was painful to watch, only positive were the three points, we should have won both against Swansea and Blackburn if we took our chances, the Blackburn game we could have lost it even, mainly because we didnt capitalize when we were on top.
The Sheff Wed was an all round good performance. Against Stoke we played superbly well for 60 minutes, but again we could have thrown it away and all the good work done, in less than 20 minutes.
Before the start of this series of games (until the next break), I said that less then 10 points would be a negative, we have 8 already with another 6 available, I will be happy with four from these 6, for a total of 12. That would make this break a more than positive one and looking forward for the next series of games (that will be much more difficult).
BUT, we have to be careful, as both Millwall and Boro are a difficult team to play against and we might even end up with just one point from these two games, and all the positivity that we have now, will evaporate and will turn into disappointment as the 10 points target will not be met.
But, I feel positive and think that this unbeaten run will continue, at least for these two games.

It's game management. When Forest went in front against Blackburn and Stoke...they need to learn to see games like that out. Take their chances, of which they had plenty...but see the game out also. Areas of development that may improve after the next international break perhaps?

There are no easy games in the Championship. A win against Millwall or Boro is not a given. But I hope for a win for both. 4 points out of 6 would plant Forest in the top six.

I very much enjoy that the team is not going all tactical as soon as we score a goal.The team keeps on attacking and wanting to score another one and then another and then an.... well you get the point. I believe Karanka has changed quite a lot in this sense. Karanka from the Boro days would probably have tried to shore things up as soon as we go ahead. The way we play now is so much more entertaining. But I agree SA the team need to take their chances.

Sometimes you have to play with what you’ve got. AK has said he thinks he has a great squad and may believe he has enough to continue attacking even after we’ve scored. Long may that continue because if we score early and decides then to defend that lead for the the rest of the game then I’ll go home with my nerves shredded. If the team is good enough then he won’t need to alter tactics unless the opposition force it upon him

Spot on GaribaldiRED. I mentioned something similar a few days ago, I think it was in the matchday thread about how I love the way that we keep 'going for it' so to speak. Long may it continue. It's good, exciting and entertaining stuff.
