I’ve been a hughton supporter and make no excuses for being so.
However it wouldn’t surprise me one iota that Marinakis gave him an ultimatum of promotion or your job and that he will get rid after next week and appoint a new man who will have the opportunity of a whole preseason and a transfer window of his own players.

Surely the transfer business MUST be done early and that players have been lined up already?
same system week in week out doesn't work, good players need players around them, overloads, bomb onners, options in front of them, the system and the manager have failed, it's been every f*****g game, the same, terrible use of subs other than to run down the clock, treating the game with contempt
All you lot who back Hooton for 'stability' are a disgrace, this season when people needed some excitement of all seasons and we got drabness and impotence
They made the stadium some sort of community asset, maybe the should make the football we play one too. That's the stuff we watch every week, that should be at least mildly entertaining to us at least some of the time. A club philosophy enshrined in law that we won't be dour and depressing, but try to play football in a way that brings the community some cheer.

This season when we played midweek pretty much every time, unsurprisingly most teams were slow and kept it tight. Everyone looked knackered today, Christie a good example.
If we played higher tempo we'd be even more tired out by now. We'd have won easily today if Grabban had not been terrible at finishing. Remember he did miss a pen and an open goal.
...and we should have had a penalty for Mighten being wrestled and thrown to the floor.

Watching the Swansea v Derby game and it reminds me of our game too.
I'm confused though I thought all the other teams were amazing to watch playing fast flowing thrilling football? Must be an off day

3/4s of the forum backed Hughton are a disgrace? You're in a minority.

Most teams in the Championship play turgid, attritional football. Watched tons of Quest/EFL this year and I'm not sure where all this 'thrilling' football is.
There are a few exceptions, but they've kept their manager for several seasons, got promoted to the Premier twice and can afford the players to get 'fast flowing' football as they demonstrated by nuking Forest 2:0 inside 20 minutes.

Obvious this one:
Positives
- Clean sheet (easily)
- Seeing Wednesday play, at least we're not that bad.
- If Swansea do their job sheep still on course for drop.
- Andy Hinchcliffes comment about Knockaert "terrible cross, or terrible shot, either way just terrible."
- Didnt pay for it on ifollow (for sky subscribers)
- Only one more game to endure.
- Last few weeks, Hughton will have seen enough to bin off a few more "maybes".
Negatives:
- Dull dull dull game.
- 3 clear cut chances ALL missed target.
- Ref should have sent off Knockaert- at least he'd be done now for us.
- Would have been entertaining to watch Grabbans try to take another pen in 2nd half, but ref couldn't be ar$ed.
- Sheep only need a draw against a much changed Swansea side.
- Commentator reminded the world that Forest are able to destroy managers' careers/reputation, or as he put it, when thinking forward to next season "Chris Hughton has never finished lower than 4th when given a full season in the Championship"
- Finally, I felt annoyed about his Yates comment "not appreciated by supporters, but is in changing room." True for some, but many of us appreciate he has been a big part of building one of best defensive records in league. He does his job usually, but others not doing there's at other end has become our Achilles heel.
One more to go...

it is about scoring goals, we've forgotten what goals are, changing approach to score goals, create a style or at least occassionally set up purely to win, there was nothing at risk today, there were no excuses to bore the whole fking city and we would all of been delighted to of lost 4.3, it would of suited everyone, except H0.0ton
CH will not finish top 4 next season, maybe bottom 4 if you want to consider the facts

I dont think we'll finish 4th either, I also think we're even less likely to finish 4th with whatever other manager they come up with.

3 clear cut chances today though. Pen missed, Grabban around keeper missed target, Krovinivic at back post with more space than the crowd at Pride Park (pre covid), missed target.
A half decent forward line playing with any confidence scores at least 2 today.

On a lighter note I think dear Wayne is really getting the hang of half time pep talks. Whatever he's saying is effective at turning 1-0s into 1-2s. Outstanding! And entertaining.
