If it's any comfort, a win on Saturday would put Forest 14th and solid mid-table.

We have a very good left back in ribs who can’t get a look in over Blackett and bong who are just not footballers
Picking freeman is ludicrous as he hasn’t been fit all season, is overweight and just frankly ineffective in every game.
Playing Taylor when Murray has been more effective than both grabban and Taylor in the short time he has been here.

It appears the message to the players from CH has been ignored. The sooner this season is over the better. Get rid of this awful squad.

Who else was he meant to pick? Knockaert was pretty bad at the weekend and Ameobi is injured

Who to pick over freeman.... Cafu maybe or my nan

So 4 central midfielders?

Would it be any worse than having freeman there? I mean what did he do tonight? What has he done all season.

We got a point - it was a pretty desperate point, but a point nonetheless. For us to get relegated at this point would require Derby to win all 3 games and Rotherham win 4 of their last 5. As well as Forest to lose our last 3. That scenario at the bottom of the league looks pretty unlikely.

Therefore the performance was bleak but at this stage of this season, I will take the point and hope that some summer restructuring of the squad will help ch to remove the deadwood and get in some much needed pace, flair and firepower.

Lets see what the performances in preseason are like and just accept this season is simply about getting over the line with a barely functioning squad

That wasn't very good tonight, was it?

I think I'm going to have some counselling for that Forest performance.   :-/

SA.

I just put that instead of going off on one in a fit of rage

The counselling does work!  :D :D

Feel irrationally happy after that advert for anti-football, as Brum were the ones laying down the gauntlet by choosing aerial bombardment.

Forest seemed to look at the bone-dry bobbly pitch, realise it wasn't meant for playing intricate passing football, and join in the fun.

Krovinovic tried to play some football; no-one gave Mighten the ball; we were awful, and less solid than expected at the back, but Samba made some crucial saves.

But that late late penalty (good spot by the ref, GBH on McKenna) was so sweet (not least for its effect on Rams fans).

Hmm...quote function doesn't seem to work.

In reply to SA, "If it's any comfort, a win on Saturday would put Forest 14th and solid mid-table".

If we'd sneaked a late winner as well, we'd already be 14th.

I was disappointed that the players weren't apparently motivated to make that leap into the sunlit uplands.

The only thing with this result is the effect on Derby. Birmingham would have been safe if won - that are practically safe now but not quite on the beach... their next game is Derby!

That was a snooze fest..

Positives:
- we have 50 points.
- It was free.
- we robbed a point by keeping going even on a crap day.
- this sh1t show of a season is nearly over so we can regroup in preseason and go again.
- QPR are 8th which shows how bad most of this division is.
- k**b head of a steward got Karma for his time wasting by us scoring so late.

Negatives:
- Such a boring game. I thought that both teams had agreed not to string 2 passes together to make sure we shared the spoils.
- Not one attacking or creative player took responsibility for getting at opposition-CBs ended up charging up instead.
- Full backs reverted to early season form.
- Last 2 games raise the question as to whether an inexperienced 20 year old would be the right fit for a 46 game season in that crucial position at base of our midfield. Consistency is key.
- We seem to be finishing with anything but a flourish.
- The 'sack the manager' every few months brigade (or know nowts as Cloughie used to term them) will somehow attribute this crappy performance to Chris Hughtons management rather than some of our money grabbing, gutless primadonnas that he was lumbered with.
- It wasn't even warm today.

Let's hope for an improvement on Saturday....

Doesn’t sound like I missed much, I reckon I won’t bother watching the forest tv replay.
