I considered Garner, Christie and Cafu but have gone for Ameobi on this poll and Wozza on the other.

Tricky one this as many of the runner up contenders either haven't played many (Garner, McKenna, Mighten) or have had very up and down seasons, (Cafu Christie, Yates, Ameobi, Samba). A refection of our season I suppose, which looks likely to end around half way in the league.

Think I will go Samba.

I've gone with Christie as runner-up.

Yes he had a slow start, but it isn't like he was the only player who was poor in the early days. He came into a squad that had 14 new additions, including himself. There was no cohesion between many of the players and we looked like a team of individuals until CH arrived and started to give the players some confidence and a way of playing. 14 new players that weren't really able to get much proper training done due to the hectic schedule they were put under. No time to work on the training pitch, so nobody was really pulling up any roots.

Since January, our performances have slowly started to improve, nigh on game by game. We should've beaten Swansea at their place, we have held our own against all of the top sides, with the exception being Norwich.  Christie has improved game on game also. I would argue that he has been there or thereabouts for the best part of the season, with the exception of perhaps the first couple of months, but since about November, despite him being a target for certain fans, he has been a steady performer for us. His defending has improved, his attacking is now a joy to watch at times, his crossing is pretty good too!!

He has played in all but 1 match for us this season (I think)?  :huh:

I think he deserves some recognition for the massive improvement to his game throughout the season

McKenna for me on this outstanding signing his value has quadrupled for me premiership quality as is  worrall
