Good to see we are very average again. Not sure what that makes them then as they played Crazy Gang football, hoof, challenge in the air, still hit the player late if you don't win the header, bully opposition as much as possible- only we were not getting bullied today.

Truth is they managed to put our keeper in the back of the net more than the ball. To$$ers.

Don’t know what’s wrong with me at the moment. Given that it’s a Friday I was looking forward to settling down in front of the TV with a beer or two tonight to watch us spank Forest 3 or 4-0.

Your 'crazy gang' football was unzipped and had it's kegs pulled down for the 'shuffle walk of shame.'

Your days of bullying or 'spanking' Forest are over, Cardiff.

Hughton is at the World Famous City Ground.

Take it to them 2-1 win for the Rs

Crikey, ref is Keith Stroud,awful.

We were interested in signing James Garner on loan from Manchester United in both of the last transfer windows.
He did not get much match time when he and Man.U opted for Watford last Summer, but he has been a big success at Forest when we failed for him in January.
Be interested to see how he does today though against Johansen and Field. Presumably, had we signed Garner, one or both of those two would not have joined us.
So one to watch today.
Funny how things turn out in football.

Pitch looks fab

Hope the team do too.

Field has dropped in , shame Cameron or Jordy aren’t fit as Field has been excellent in midfield lately.

We’ve been really sloppy first 20 mins , even our better technical players are struggling.

What we playing like?

We’ve had 2 good chances last 5 mins , am I the only one that’s bothered to pay a tenner to watch this

No u are not alone, I unfortunately also forked out a tenner, poor mistake by Barbet, although he very rarely now does that.

Fairly poor fare from both teams, we need to up the tempo
Barbet #### up 1 down .

Bugger 1-0 just before half time!

Terrible mistake by Barbet giving them a goal out of nothing. What the hell, every player makes mistakes from time to time, Barbet has been good lately and will be anxious to atone.
We need to change things around second half. Forest were better than I expected.
Rangers to win 2-1.

That looked like the sort of goal we routinely conceded in first half of the season - comical self-destructive defending.

He just had to nudge it out for a throw OR hoof it and looks like he got caught in 2 minds.

Frustrating half. We gotta do better next half and put our half chances away.

Kakay been awful . We have definitely been more comfortable. Silly mistake has cost us ! Still think we can nick this 3-1

Bad goal to give up near the end of a rather uninspiring half by us! I'm off for my first jab, if my posts become more irrational than they already have been you'll know what happened!

Thought we’d cut the balls up errors out

still get something from this but need to step up a gear

In fairness Barbet has been excellent this season so can't slate him for one mistake.

We need a lot more movement in midfield and up top if we are going to turn this round.

Plenty of time left to win it chaps

sloppy play. Just cant seem to pass to each other

Agree to many players guilty of this today .

Great save by Senny.

It's the city ground boys.
A place of evil for QPR.......... except once!

Ball is so poor , Field is wasted in a back 3 .

2-0

Game over , turned over cheap possession again this time Dykes , we’ve been poor today

Ball has looked out of his depth today, miss Field in midfield linking with Johansen

Strange substitution defending has gone awol nobody closing down.

Not one player having a good game, overall dismal performance so far

What boll ocks

3-0

People slate Kane but Kakay has looked at best naive defensively so many times.

Yep worst game Dickie has had in a while , Austin anonymous as well .

On the beach. If we continue with this level of intensity/application I'd be surprised if we picked up another 4pts this season.

Finally puts Fields back in MF now we are 3 down.

We had our easiest win against Coventry on Friday and now our worst 3 days later!

Cameron and jordy not being available has totally unbalanced the side , it meant having to play Ball and taking Field out of the midfield

Never saw this coming ouch

Typical rangers.
they have had 20 shots to our 1.
Every player has been poor today.
Even the manager has had a shite one.

Bad , bad day at the office, our heaviest defeat of the season , not often the whole team is below par but that’s how it’s been today . Dickie and Dieng who have been good this season have had their worst games .

Why do we fall behind, and react by passing the ball around to each other with only a shot or two on goal? And when we finally get a ball moving forward on the ring our first instinct is to slow it down, pass backward, allowing the other side to pack their defense?

oh well, another defeat at the City Ground. Never mind, roll on Saturday.

3-1 Dykes.

Good work from Admomah and a good header from Dykes.

I guess the play offs are slipping away from us? A bad day all round, we did look unbalanced, there wasn't much in the 1st half and we gave up a poor goal right near the end, we have been fortunate the CB's have stayed reasonably fit because we don't have much depth there!

We are a truly inconsistent side, really depends which side turns up, tactics totally wrong today.

Have to say just seen the gls, a bit poor from our pov.
Grabban hit it well, but two players not closing him down.
And the 3rd? mistake by Dieng.

Dieng shouldn’t have been beaten from there and Barbet gifted them the first goal .

Start Albert at right wing back..

He hasn’t started Albert at RWB all season , it’s clear he believes he doesn’t have the stamina for a whole game in that position, hence him only having a few cameo appearances towards the end of games . I don’t know why we signed him as he will only ever start in a 4 4 2 system which we don’t play anymore.

We had nothing really to play for but pride, safe from relegation, no chance of reaching play offs so not too surprised.
what has surprised me this season is our reaction to bad performances, we usually bounce back (since early January anyway).
hopefully that trend continues against Rotherham on tuesday as it would be nice to finish this season higher than last .

Well, at least we don't have to worry about the play offs anymore! Bad day at the office. Par for the course at the City Ground. Playing like that after Friday's performance is frustrating but not unusual for us. Someone mentioned a couple of days ago about the black and white thinking of some of our fans. So let's keep some perspective and chalk it up to a bad day.

That may well be the case due to Warburtons skewered opinion on Albert, but nobody can deny that in nigh on “every single game “ that Albert has had pitch time he has created clear cut chances for teammates to score and has scored the odd goal himself.

More importantly with Albert being able to put accurate crosses in the box we may start playing to our Strikers strengths instead of purely relying on W/Bs and Chair.

It's not reasonable to judge Adomah based purely on 20 minute cameos against tiring opposition. He clearly hasn't got 90 minutes in him, especially as a wing-back, so it's ridiculous to suggest he should start. With 5 subs it's a 16-man team, the concept of a 1st XI is obsolete - AA is a very useful member of the 16 who does his best work coming on in the final quarter. Trying to eke anymore than that out of him wont work in my view.

Forest looked as though they had studied our game, Coventry looked like they had never seen us play.
Friday everyone played well, today, several had their poorest game for sometime.
I guess that is the Championship though.
Not much in it for the first half - bad time to concede, Forest then sat back and waited for errors and we obliged.

A bad day indeed but Forest did a job on us which has to be noted.

Saturday has arrived again and we seem to be in the same position as last week still needing 3 points to guarantee survival.

Thankfully Rotherham got done last week so gap is still 14 even with games in hand can't see them catching us.

Lasts weeks performance was the worst since Nige has taken over and his post match interview certainly made it clear that some players time here will be ending if he is appointed.

There's going to be a lot of unemployed footballers at the end of the season.

Today sees Mr Hughton at Ashton Gate with the tricky trees next to us in the table.

Don't expect we will ever know the true story of his application interview process. He has done a decent job at Forest after a slow start and like us are almost safe.

It's human nature that when your turned down your going to want to prove a point. I would be amazed if we didn't see a fired up Forest side this afternoon.

Bearing this in mind and our woeful recent performance I would be ecstatic if we get a point and no more injuries.

I'm not watching this afternoon as the side I manage are playing in a lockdown league game at UWE 1pm kick off .

I'm hoping for a 6 point Saturday but think my side may be the only winners today.

Is today the day we win at home for the first time in 20 years? Surely it must be so. COYR.

I really can’t see anything from this game but stranger things have happened...

Can’t see past another defeat unfortunately. Another shrug of the shoulders at full time can’t wait for the season to end

Well I'm really not looking forward to this one. I'd be overjoyed if we got a point.

In the current circumstances, I'd be happy with a draw.

But I think Forest will hammer us if we continue with the recent performances, they're off the back of two good wins and confidence must be high.

Once again, predictably, the away team at AG are favourites at around 6/5 with City around 12/5 - about right.

Its feasible that after today we could be just 7 points off relegation with some below us having a game in hand - I still think we will be ok, but it could be close if the poor results continue.

0-3 Forest.

I think we will put in a better performance than that today. Some players do read the shite we write on here and will be pretty aware now, if they weren't previously, that the majority of fans are gunning for them now and not the Manager.

Anyone feeling confident today ?

Forest, I would think.

Chris Hughton?.....scary!

Lansbury and Vyner in midfield and no KP? ....0-2 incoming.

here we go again then another stress full afternoon watching them load of pricks do f all ,good work if you can get it I guess . for king over paid bunch of whan kors.

Come on Jim, don't sit on the fence mate, let us know how you really feel

Can’t see beyond a comfortable 2-0 away win we are physically mentally and tactically weak all over the pitch

Hopeful with team selection, but CH has got their defense sorted so if i were a betting man i would have to go for a 0-1.

And more damning words from Pearson.

"Have you seen anything from the players in the week to suggest we'll see a change"

NP: "Haha, ask me after the game"

"What do you expect from the players today"

NP: *laughs*

Thought the crowd behaved impeccably during that 2 minute silence

Semenyo poorly gives it away.

Wells then poorly can't control the ball.

Come on city do the basics better. Not good signs

Good counter..
Check the line Nakhi!!!

Good run from Pearson, just delays his through ball to Wells, but positive sign

Started in the same way as all the previous ones - watching the opposition play and depending on a mistake to break away.

Seeing Forest dominating possession with really nice passing play, can’t help thinking this could’ve been us under Hughton

Can someone count the forest players, have they got more than us?

More fit players for sure.

Is the commentator having his words sped up.
I know it’s the grand national later, maybe this is his warm up.

Seven accurate passes in twelve minutes of football... jesus wept.

That commentator has sprinkled coke on his cornflakes this morning.

We’ve had 15% of possession in the opening 15 minutes!

Easy for Forest - we are far too deep.

Defence on our own 18 yard line all the time - move 'em out Tomas ffs.

Commentator needs to ignore Lansbury every time says his name he gives the ball away - has he actually completed a pass?

I’ve never known a team look so uncomfortable on the ball as we do at the moment. Every time we get it we don’t know what to do with it

Absolutely no improvement, won’t be long before Forest score I’m affraid.

Forest hit the post!

Usual snoozefest.

Simpson done so easy by Mighten

Come on, can't fault the endeavour today so far...

32 mins gone and still no shots on goal!!!

Interesting to see the controlled passing game, whilst pressing, Hughton has Forest playing even if it did take a few months to stamp his mark on them.

Good play Pearson, and Palmer gets a deflected shot in for out first corner

Corner!! Wow stick that in yer pipe and smoke it

So easy it is at times for Forest to work the ball into attacking positions

Only a matter of time before we concede if we carry on like this

Krovinovic looks good for them

I have a feeling we will give away another penalty

Great battling by Lansbury then with 2 players free to his right, he plays an overhit ball left to Wells and we lose it again.

Not watching so do I take it that things are going well ?

Forest the better side but they've only had a couple of chances

This is cack, again.

Lansbury hits the post

With the reduced likelihood of us scoring here's Lansbury hitting the post instead: https://streamja.com/R3Le7

City better but not good enough!

FFS can Robins TV not come up with a more capable commentary team? Nothing they say actually accurately reflects what’s happening on the pitch.

We are toothless and clueless

Positives.....its 0-0 at half time.

We cannot continue to ride our luck like we are.

Palmer needs to come off...hands down he is likely to give away a cheap free kick / pen or take us down to 10 men

Massengo and Semenyo have been notable....

and to add to the joy.....Gas 1 up at HT

How the hell did we get to half time without conceding?

31% and 2 shots, none on target. That’s embarrassingly Is an improvement

Tosh... plenty of endeavour, couple of nearly moments but Semenyo's control let him down, well worked FK from which we hit post. Sure Forest better side and dominating possession but this is certainly better than the limp performances over Easter.

Good to be level. Impressive energy and quality from Massengo again. Lansbury been alright. Not the most excruciating half of our season!

Still in the match at HT.

Well got to the break 0-0.

We have made a pretty good impression of a lower league team making it difficult away in a cup tie against a team a couple of divisions higher. Not really a lack of effort, kept our shape pretty much, and made it difficult for our more illustrious opponents.

All the real football being played my one side, they will still be heavy favourites but the shock may still be on!

We've reduced Forest to 1 shot on target thank foook

Bristo City Fans 2nd Half Comments.....

Worrying how we dropped off defensively allowing forest to play through us with 2 passes a few times. No pressure on the ball as we were stretched . NP seemed to have us further up the pitch last ten meaning more pressure in midfield . We’ve nicked the  ball off them as a result but it’s broken down & no final ball.
No lack of effort though.

HT Summary:

Not an easy watch, but you sense a tinsy-winsy improvement as half wore on.

Think the little switch near h-t is better.  Semenyo v Christie might be better for Rowe too.

Tomas Kalas - get yourself up the bleeding pitch!  Allowing Krov to find pockets.  Grabban isn't gonna run you in behind (famous last words), giving our midfield acres to cover.

Lansbury - you need to work harder to give a passing angle for Simpson, so that he doesn't have to clip channel every time.

S.Pearson - doing okay.

Massengo wants someone to pass to, not run with the ball....but very solid again.  Found his mojo again in recent weeks.

Forest look like they might give us a gift.

Small crumbs to build on.

Forest better so far but the players fight at least. Slowly we can grew in to the game. 0-0 ht good for us. Good freekick from Lansbury. COYR!!!

Fam on for Wells might give us a bit more of a threat with 20-30 to go.

Palmer I worry about. So Nagy on for him? I don't know, there isn't exactly loads of options.

If Forest had as many key players out as us and we had them available then we'd probably look different class to them.

Would be delighted with a rubbish, undeserved 0-0!

Maybe we were trying to send the Forest defenders to sleep in the first half hoping that we can get a goal in the second before they can wake back up.

Not quite sure what some folks were expecting here. We’ve been terrible at home pretty much all season. Players devoid of confidence but working hard to try and stay in the game versus a Forest side who are in a lot better form playing with more confidence and also having a decent manager.

decent play by Lansbury and ball in from Palmer, but Wells off the pace to benefit

Is it me or has Vyner lost the ability to pass?

It's you, he never had the ability to pass in the first place!

Garner curls one off (the LH side of Bentley's goal)

Samba takes approx 30secs to take a goal kick..... wtf?

Ha ha. Palmer back heels it out of play when he had about 4 other options and the commentator says “Palmer a few steps ahead of his team mates there”. Ummm....no - in his own world more like

Samba uses his box well. Sounds similar to my wife

Much improved....just need a little more quality on the final elements of play....still a few too many loose passes and not really enough to trouble their keeper yet.

0-0 would be a excellent result today. That’s how far we have come. Clean sheet and a point at home.

...... and a shot on target would be the cherry on the cake!

I have never seen a team give the ball away as cheaply as the team gave this year.

It is simply mind blowing.

NP has one hell of a job on his hands in the summer getting a squad that can actually pass the ball to eachother.

Semenyo penalty shout.

Semenyo should have won a Pen then... poor referring

Damn thats a penalty

That was stonewall

Watching again I think the defender won the ball but kicked it straight against Semenyo's foot, and it then went through his legs looking like he hadn't touched it... but not sure.

I thought the ball rebounded and Semenyo effectively tripped into the ball player.

Dont think it was a Pen

Certainly, defender put his leg out as Semenyo went past.

Bakinson on for Lansbury, who had his best game for us.

A draw would be a positive result here. Breaks the losing cycle and gets us to the 50 point mark. Hold on lads

Simpson, looks like a hamstring, shame was very solid today.

Semenyo ain't gonna shrug that one off. Horrid tackle.

Luke Freeman coming on..............

The stepover king

How often do we hit the wall with these kicks? Can they train with some taller mannequins?

Got to be at least 4-5 mins of injury time....

I’d be tempted to play the mannequins if I was NP. They can’t be more wooden than most of present team

Massengo MOM by a mile.

0-0 FT

That will do. A point, clean sheet and stopped the rot.

Looked better second half. I wouldn't say the better of the 2 sides, but it was an improvement from the first half

Get in! Great result- the rattler will be flowing tonight

A game of two halves. City much better in the second Massengo MOTM

I'll take that.

A much better 2nd half so definite signs that Nige is getting his players aligned.

A certain penalty but, in the refs defence, until I saw the replays, I didn't think it was.

50 points, job done hopefully.

HNM motm, closely followed by Kalas and Lansbury who I thought had a decent game.

I would suggest those not in the squad, that were fit to play, can contact the local estate agents

Reasonable performance, draw was probably a fair result.

How did Garner play for Forest?

good first half, we closed him much more quickly second half and he was less effective.

Wow. We didn't lose.

Thought Christie for them had a great game and the Croatian chap with a name I would never be able to pronounce.

Really pleased to have stuck out for the draw. Forest were the better side overall but toothless up front. Considering the crippling injuries we have I am not surprised that they were more polished.

Vyner & Kalas were rock solid and the makings of a partnership. Bents assured. Simpson solid. Shame about the injury.

Midfielders stuck to their tasks. The real disappointment was up front. It just didn't work. Sadly, we looked far better bringing on a player who refuses to sign a contract.

MOM Massengo. Worked his socks off.

At this stage its not about the performance, it's the result that matters. Just glad we've broken the losing streak at home.

A fantastic result with a shot on target we will walk the league next season

Wonderboy very good today but often when he wins the ball he have no City player to pass. Forest had wingers on both sides, we had none.

Well that was better - a point at home and a decent performance against a side in form. Well done lads.
