Probably Reds73 can answer that...

Yeh he’s got a knock, don’t believe it’s serious

Is Larrson also injured again Reds73?

Reid has done quite well given the circumstances.

He has had to deal with injuries to key players and a few suspensions; he has also had to fit in the likes of Bachirou and Blackett, coming back from injury, and now Jenkinson and Arter.

I have watched a few of the games and they are playing better than the results suggest

Yes it wasn't serious, he was on the bench yesterday so hopefully he'll start the next game.

I don't get to see any academy football. Is Konate a real talent who is possibly ready for the first team squad next season or it's too early for him.

Apparently reidy really rates Konate and was trying not to draw too much attention to him
Come on you mighty Reds

He did play; it was his first games back for a while.

One to note in the U23s: Fin Back

18 year old son of former England Rugby Player Neil Back

On the few occasions I have seen him play he has impressed.

Definately one to watch.

He will be a pro at a good level, be interesting to see what level.

But I have no doubt he will get to at least Championship level.

They are trying to work out his best position at present.

Really enjoyed watching the 18’s & 23’s - before the pandemic put a halt to spectators.

Always took a keen interest in players being asked to adapt to different positions.

Assume Fin has been asked to play in midfield? ( hadn’t noticed him playing in different positions )

Question for Reds73/Jean.

Are Forest trying to fast track talent like Mighten/Fin/Brennan through the Academy and make that path to from the Academy to the 1st team seem accessible than it has been historically?

Eg. I've sure I've noticed 16s playing for the 18s? And don't some 18s play for the u23s if they're 'good enough?'

Has this always been the case or are we on a more aggressive timeline due to supplant more 1st team players with FFP compliant Academy domestic talent.

Players have always seemed to have come through the Academy. We had the Dawson/Reid/Jenas era. We've had a steady trickle of player we've been able to make 'timely' sales (re: balancing club revenue.)

I'm just wondering if this quest for more talent is on a more aggressive timeline with the new owners? We're seem to be investing in more 'not quiet ready' foreign (ie not just domestic catchment) talent as a way to nurture talent for the 1st team or future resale.

With us applying for Cat 1, I should imagine we'll be more attractive to competing midland teams. (Obviously more so if we get in the Premier in the next few years...)

SA.

It has always been the philosophy ever since Paul Hart to fast track players, and ‘play up’ from their respective age groups.

The biggest threat to our academy is Leicester plonking their brand spanking new facility right on the border.

Cat 1 is paramount as Leicester and Derby will hoover up the local talent otherwise.

Staff wise, be it coaches and sport science, I think we are stronger than Leicester and Derby.

They have better facilities though.
