Watford - Nottingham Forest
I have no Loyalty to Bong whatsoever but it's easy to slag him off when he's up against a player who cost 30M and is being chased by Liverpool. For the record that was his first bad game of the season in the league. He hasn't been great but he's been steady and just as good if not better than Ribeiro this season. I don't do loyalty just facts.

Gentle reminder - if I may say Sniff.

Opinions - not facts.

Just saying.

Definitely. He’s our best midfielder in terms of technique and passing ability. Yates is a good physical option to bring in against the likes of Rotherham, but if we want to pass through the midfield and have more possession then Cafu is a must.

A bit like Watson last year, Cafu’s value to the side is overlooked by a lot of fans.

Agreed 100% mate ^^

Think the idea with Yates was that he was there as more of a blocker to shield the defence, didnt work though and yes Cafu is far better with the ball, definitely the unexpected find of the season.

As for Bong the problem for me is always his total lack of pace. He got away with it against some of the weaker opposition but he was always going to be done by a good pacey winger and yesterday he probably came up against the best one in the league. Having Freeman ahead of him didnt help either. Think Bong is OK as backup, competent and reliable enough, decent pass on him too but we need better next season.

Positives
We kept it to 1.
Competed 2nd half.
Lolley again showing signs.
We have a week to get over this sh1t show.
We can only improve on that......can't we?

Negatives
Everý player in starting 11 made mistakes in 1st half all over the pitch. Losing men, gifting possession, bad decision  making, GK errors,  getting skinned etc, - this can happen, but every player on same day!!
Not trying is the one thing fans can not accept-Knockeart that was you unless the ball was at your feet.
I like Yates alot, today he had a stinker.
All our loan players were awful too today.

Roll on the summer.

I'm still pouting myself.

Been looking forward to your post match analysis.

And you've nail gunned it here, Zic'.

SA.

Sun is shining again this morning.

I was reduced to reading the sheep evening telegraph to bitterly cheer myself up.

Just an all round bad day at the office. Some of the rubbish I have read since the game though on social media is ridiculous.

It happens and despite a shocking performance it was only 1-0, our centre backs generally defended really well bar the odd moment- which is ultimately their main job. Losing the ball cheaply was just a disease that spread through the team yesterday.

Onwards and upwards  Chris Hughton will sort us out.

A narrow defeat 1-0 away at Watford, a narrow defeat 1-0 away at Swansea. It suggests that we aren't too far away. It's obvious where the problem lies.

Yep it is Sniff bit my take was that we never really laid a glove in them. If we had put them under more pressure they would've gone up a gear they were so comfortable. It was a routine win for them.

i feel ya Pap, not seen much post match stuff but it could go something like this ...

I've seen the morning in the mountains of Alaska
I've seen the sunset in the east and in the west
I've sang the glory that was Rome
And passed the hound-dog singer's home
It still seems for the best

And I'm far, far away
With my head up in the clouds
And I'm far, far away
With my feet down in the crowds
Lettin' loose around the world
But the call of home is loud

I feel like you're making a fairly big assumption there as opposed to accepting that perhaps our tactics limited them to not threatening too much particularly second half.

I suspect had we snuck a goal they wouldn't have managed to raise their game much more and if they pushed forward more would've left themselves exposed.

After all, they only scored because Samba got kicked in the head before the guy shot. Arguably another goal that may have been ruled out by VAR (not 100% on the rules to accidental keeper head injuries in terms of when a game should be stopped). Certainly suspect if he'd stayed down the ref would've struggled to not disallow the goal
