Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth
Not getting spanked and battered by Bournemouth or any top 6 side is progress.

Getting minutes into Freeman is important.

Lolley could have been a sub. But that was Hughton's call. It was important not to lose at this point in the run.

And confidence boosting against a side who have a 25 million lama.

Be a bit of a challenge on Wednesday now. Even if we got a draw, which we'll have to be excellent to do, 2 points from 2 games is not exactly rip roaring.

Forest getting some respect.

We're no longer mugs under Chris.

No its not Pap, but its better than 0 points from 2 games, against top 6 sides!! I would happily take a point against Swansea. Be delighted for the win, but a draw will do.

Draws against decent sides that didn't have our train wreck start to the season should be given the credit they deserve in the context of 1 loss in 11.

Given the steaming pile of a situation dumper trucked before Chris signed in...today's result is indeed progress.

forest didn't have a rip roaring preseason, transfer window or start to the season.

There aren't many teams rip roaring Swansea or Bournemouth.

Two teams that have been far better run than Forest and enjoyed well earned decent Premier status.

You only have to look at our 2 games against Bournemouth this season to see the improvement under CH. They absoutely mullered us earlier in the season and yesterday they didn't get a sniff and we came closest to scoring when Murray's header was cleared off the line.

Agree that we have made progress, however I agree that it was frustrating that we didn’t make changes to try and force a win, not the end of the world.
However going forward is this going to be his mentality? If it is people will soon become tired of it

I can understand the frustration of some but why change for the sake of change? CH has said that none of the players were 'leggy'. We came closest to winning the game with the 11 players that we had on the field. CH didn't take off an attacker and bring on a defender, I can understand people be brassed off if he did that but he didn't.

Yes.

In a nut shell.

Agreed, I think its just set in stone as a mindset that making subs is automatically the only option. How many times do subs actually impact a game? Also, that does not consider the opportunity cost of not making a sub. Ie what the players subbed off could've offered.

I've always felt you should make subs early or purely for injury/fitness/time-wasting reasons. What's the point of giving someone 15 mins, will take them most of that just to get up to speed, let alone have a big impact. I would make more half time subs if I was a manager (although footballers are famously brittle when it comes to getting subbed early)

I don't think Lolley for Freeman on 75 would have unbalanced the team or is a change for changes sake. I think Lolley would have added some energy and directness late in the game that could have delivered 3 points without negating the defensive effort.

Agree
Also Lolley has done well in the last couple of games off the bench and was unlucky not to make the 1st 11.
I was also disappointed we didn't make a change of two, to add fresh legs and give Bournemouth defence something different to deal with.

No one is expecting 5 changes under Chris, and their is a lot of positives to the stability he has brought to the team through consistent selection.

Being slightly disappoint not to go for the win is a big improvement to most of our post match feeling this year!
