Think NFFC could learn a lot from it and it would allay some of the criticism that comes their way if we had a similar level of transparency.

Before anyone says it, no I dont care who Brentford signed or that they have a totally different recruitment model to us and I am fully aware they are currently in the same division. The point is that they are a club going in the right direction and doing it with having their fans fully informed.

Have to give credit to Brentford for sticking with it.  Hard to argue with the results.  I wouldn't grudge them getting promoted.

I know some like to laud the Brentford model or the Swansea model.

However teams like Wolves, Norwich, Sheffield United, West Brom and Watford who are nothing like Brentford or Swansea ( Wolves and Watford are very much like us) are all in or have been in the PL recently.

However that is a very old school way of thinking, all modern businesses are looking for new ways to keep their customers involved. This was a particular example about a club explaining their transfer window but could be about any other aspect. Do a series of interviews starting with charity work, Framework etc talking about how EM did community work in Greece and how he is replicating it here. Just think we could do better if we tried harder.

Totally, the communication could be a whole lot better then that stops people having so many unanswered questions. Would improve the relations with the club and supporters drastically. 

Imagine going to a car dealer to buy a car and they tell you nothing about the model what so ever. Would you buy the car or think you were getting a good transparent service? Probably not.

It's about being well run.  And getting recruitment right.  An ethos.  The teams that got promoted had something and stuck with it.

And The effects of being on life support bled into the first couple of seasons under our new owners.  And even last Summer you saw the lack of sure footedness in recruitment coming before they finally appoint a proven manager and then the pre season is done in season with a patchwork of players from previous sackings.

In short?  A mess.

And many of those teams have stuck with it while Forest where doing the Hokey Cokey with managers and preseasons.

Forest have lurched from from one plan to another from what appears to be a dart board strategy.

I’d argue that there has been a slight change with domestic players being the base starting during the summer and continued in Jan. Obviously CH has had a major say and whilst early days I like all 4 of his signings... we are improving and have some useful players now...
