Oh dear. We love ending records like that. Hopefully they'll score midweek first so it's not a thing when they play us.

AK would drop anybody from the squad.

Surely he has to drop Fig. Probably remove Osbourne from defence as well. Players need to know that if they make mistakes they are out. If the play well they stay in.

That's fair enough.

I expected him to be captain and to play every game if fit but it's been a rather low key return for him so far.
If Fox keeps playing as he is, then there is only one spot left for the central defence...and I see Hefele taking it... if not why did why sign him...

Dawson seemed off the pace in a few games.  Hoff', like Bryam, problem not 'Aitor Karanka' level of fit...yet.

But I fully expect both of them to come in.  Where that leaves Dawson.  Depends on if Fox's level of performance drops.

He's the only keeper in the back line currently.  I'd include the keeper in that as well.

Both wingback the biggest concern, I thought fig was good last season, not really seen his best yet. Too many changes has the potential for another bury performance??

Will he get back into the team vs Birmingham?

If Michael is fit again following the International break I would have him back in the starting 11 and make him captain.

Presuming that Watson will be dropped, so the armband will hopefully go to Michael instead of Foxy.

Agreed re: Dawson.

Hope he's fit again.  His leadership has been a miss.

I feel defence is still in a period of transition. We get Byram then he's injured. We get Dawson, he gets injured...and I hope his 'legs' are still there for the cause because I know his heart will be.

Watson.  It's an ominous sign that Karanka brought in two CMs.  A playmaker and a young-ER enforcer.  Competition to Geddy and Watson/Colback.

D/CM wasn't working.  (Watson and Colback haven't quite clicked like they did last season.  And with no one really holding the ball up ahead of them they seem to have been found out a bit.)

We'll see if the fix is in...

If Dawson is fit I would pick him every time and as you say make him captain, we are badly lacking leadership at the moment.

The question is who partners him. Fox has done nothing wrong and is left sided so makes a good combination but not the quickest. Figs more mobile but would make pairing both right sided. Think Hefele best for if we are expecting an aerial battle.

I have to agree with that Duncan.

If Michael is fit he should start and be our captain/leader.

Fox has to be one of the best defenders in the league the way he's playing. Pleased for him.
Derby next round anyone??
