They got a decent result at Bournemouth last night. Lets just hope the effort spent has a detrimental effect upon them on Saturday. I still remain confident. It'll be a battle but we seem to be up for it of late.

I saw him a few times for QPR and Brizzle, never at number 10 to be fair, was playing out wide. Put in a couple of ok crosses and some decent dead balls. Nothing to write home about. I didn't think I wished we had him playing for us, the way I did watching Cairney whenever I saw him. Ironically the pundit in one game gave him MOTM as he put 2 good balls in leading to the goals-both dead balls. That was when he was a fixture in the sides too. Cafu can put in a decent dead ball.

Freeman’s stats are very good

I would love him to come back fit and firing and replicate his best stats (5 goals and 12 assists in 47 games). I just worry that like so many others, he peaked around 2017. His next best season was 8 goals 6 assists in 44 games. In context last season Lolley had 10 goals and 9 assists last season in 44 games when many felt he wasn't on song for a large part of early season. (Previous season 12 and 11). Just not convinced at all.

I think I read somewhere that he created more chances in the Championship in the four seasons prior to his move to Sheffield United than any other player

I believe we all had big hopes for Freeman and rightly so.

Our formation does certainly fit having an ACM although part of Cafu's strength playing there has been his pressing which is suspect is not a big part of Freeman's game.

I believe the report above states that Freeman will contribute in defense and press when required. He definitely isn't a player that will stand and watch the rest of the team defend.

With no real preseason with Forest he didn't have the best of starts. You can see a similar pattern to Colback and Knocker. I understand what you're saying. There were times I wondered what the hype was about. But with his stats and track record if we harness his ability for assists and goals he could be part of what we're missing. And allow us to rotate our winger options as both Ameobi and Lolley seem Burnt out. Particular Lolley from the last season. I think we still need another quality no.10 to add a more intricate mix of attacking play. SA.
