i think with the front players, there are maybe a few too many who want to be Top Boy
we need more who want to receive the ball, give the ball and GO
composure and superfit would also be nice

Reading DT’s replies to some of the comments in the Athletic article. He is having a go at Vrentzos again, saying that he ultimately decides on transfers, not Modesto or the manager. Said Vrentzos wanted Diakhaby and blamed him for not doing the homework on Muric, emphasised It is Vrentzos that runs the show. Modesto is more chief scout and again said proper talent more likely to go to Oly.
I know some on here dont like DT and don’t believe a word of it however he clearly has sources inside the club not just disgruntled former employees. I thought this morning’s article was a bit more positive but if there is truth in this and some of the other behind the scenes issues alluded to on the other thread then we still have problems. Too many things just dont smell good.

Duffy in, Worrall out.
Expect it to happen
Prob get 8-10m for Joe, and replace with a player who has had his best days.

Perhaps replacing the "error strewn" figs with Duffy who has had an error strewn time at Celtic?
I'm guessing Hughton had Duffy at CH during the promotion to and retention of Brighton to the Premier? Was he Hughton's Captain..?
As with Knocker, perhaps Chris can bring the best out of him. Or a plan to go 3 at the back..? Or better back up if Heff leaves. Maybe he wants four solid CHs and the CH that can cover isn't deemed good enough..?
But losing Worrall for him..?
Maybe Chris has concerns over McKenna 's fitness. But more likely for me would be to get a fee for...
Figs I could handle as I get the feeling the lad is homesick.
I'm not surprised we're after another CH. I'm sure Chris looked at our shipping of stupid goals at the back as costing us points and not up to the mark of how he wants to play.
In that regard, Figs has been erratic. I would be surprised at Chris bringing in a CH he trusts.
Vs Cardiff was the 1st time in ages I was convinced by two Forest CHs.
But was Chris?
SA.

Diakhaby again. Dan Taylor just going around in circles. Last January has been done to death. Move on Dan it's getting boring now.

We are talking about Shane Duffy here. There is only one person responsible for that and that is Hughton. It's Duffy not some unknown from France. It's obviously what the manager wants. Didn't we all want the manager to sign his own players and to have the final say?

I want us to have a coherent recruitment strategy.
We should have a recruitment strategy that remains the same irrespective of the coach / manager.
We swap coaches like we do our underwear, so you end up like we currently are.
We need to be scouting the best 22-25 year olds, whose value will increase.

I echo what you say here sniffer, would be no surprise for him to go for an oldie like Duffy (who hasn’t done great up in Scotland and of course in the decline).
Relying on older players was one of the reasons I didn’t want chris Hughton as manager as I thought that might be the case.
But I have to ask, do you think he really wants to sell Worrall?
To me selling Worrall the powers that be, just selling off another crown jewel to fund wages of all the deadwood they have acquired in the reign, and of course to help pay off sacked coaches and managers.
If CH did want to sell Worrall and does have final say on that and bringing in Duffy, then to me that would be just stupid and not sure he will last out the season
Everyone is entitled to my opinion - COYR :)

Widdow I would be gobsmacked if CH wants to sell Worrall. I think we might be jumping the gun though, we may sign Duffy and keep Worrall. Dawson is finished, Blackett out of favour and I have a feeling Figs will be the one to go and not Worrall. That would give is Worrall, McKenna, Duffy and Soh.
It may just be wishful thinking on my part though.

Agree with that and very worried if we swap Worrall for Duffy. If that is Hughton’s decision then shame on him. It may of course be that Joe has been tapped up and has said he wants to go in which case you cannot blame the club. Or the 3rd option is to blame our favourite scapegoat Vrentzos and assume he wants to cash in on Worrall and told CH to bring in a replacement.
If it does happen and I hope it doesn’t then all are equally plausible and we probably wont know.
