My reservations about Yacob are purely due to having too many of the same type of player, however have a look at the West Brom forums, by a large they genuinely love the guy.


He is an out and out DCM only though, if he is taking anyones place I would think it is Colback who I have to say I have been pretty disappointed in so far.

It's more the general trend. We have a heap of over 30's contracted beyond the end of this season, I doubt many of them will be much use.

Let's hope so. Not sure why it's taken 3 months to sign him if his impact is going to be so obvious. Nor why we've signed so many others who play in his position.

This signing is just what Forest needed. A bit of steel. A 'forward pass.' Some 'authority.' 'Some legs.' Leadership. Some serious competition for Watson and Colback. And they need pushing. I don't see Aitor being big on sentiment. Forest need 'legs' and authority in CM. That's why these two were signed.

Yacob and Tach'. Both needed. Providing things Forest just don't have in CM. eg. a forward pass and a crunching tackle.

I'm curious to as to how they do. Can they provide the missing link from DCM to ACM?

I wouldn't mind Yacob getting his first start tomorrow along side Colback instead of Teddy who has looked a bit of the pace recently.
