Think there has been an over reaction with some, twitter far worse, to a 0-0 against a Karanka team that was always going to try to stifle us. We did though look for the most part devoid of any creativity that might have broken the deadlock and neither of our strikers made a meaningful contribution which is worrying.

Most worrying part of the game yesterday was the amount of times, especially in 2nd half, when we just booted ball upfield, hit and hope. No attempt to try and pass to a team mate.
I do think the biggest problem we have is lack of confidence, players in their own ability and their team mates.

Yes I remember a few weeks back when Taylor had scored 2 goals in a game he started playing like messi and ronaldo rolled into one showing all his flicks and tricks and skills it must be a confidence thing ! I hope

Strange one for me yesterday. Hughton replaced a ball-playing centre half with one who hoofs it 60 yards--and that seemed to be the strategy all day long. Shambolic tactics. We were playing Birmingham, a shockingly bad group of hoofers and our tactics were to play their game by doing the same. I want Hughton to be given time but there are some alarming remnants of Lamouchi that remain and are holding us back: the appalling lack of movement that leaves us zero options going forward, the slowness with which the ball progresses, the reliance on wingers or overlapping fullbacks who can't cross a ball as our only source for creating chances and the gaping hole in the middle of the park between midfield and attack. Embarrassing that a veteran manager put a team out to play this way. Agricultural crap. Finally, if you're going to play Mighten (which you should), get him the ball on the deck and let him run at defenders with attacking support, don't have him chasing balls waiting for them to emerge from the clouds and hoping he can out jump a 6'4 defender.
