I think we have a top half squad, so can one of the Believers tell me 12 clubs who have a better squad than we do?

So people giving Hughton time are adherents and deluded?

Including the 'deluded' owners who factory installed him following the panic sacking of 'pretender' Sabri?

Forest have gone out right beaten in their 1st four matches to at least competitive under Chris.

It's not his Squad.

How did Aitor do with a squad that wasn't his?  Similar.  He torpedoed it with ten plus signings that were his in January.

I won't expect 10 plus signings this time.  But we at least give Hughton 3 quality attacking players so he can make a fist of it.

Not his squad.  No pre-season.  He signed one player.  But let's sack him him and call fans that want to give him a chance deluded.

Weak leadership got Forest here.  But let's sack Chris.  Somehow this mess must be his fault.

Aitor. MoN. Hughton.

3 managers with promotion experience. Not one of them hit the turbo button with a half way change over of managers.

MON did the best of the three of them in that regard but he was still sacked.

And how did Forest do following the sacking of SoD?

Notice a pattern?

Let's look at Forests wide options. A young protege. An out of form premier player. Lolley. The walking wounded. And way out of form like so. And the inconsistency of Ameobi.

Two of those weren't pulling up trees for the last half a year under Sabri.

We have an ACM in Luke that arrived unfit and underplayed in the last year.

Grabban is off the back of a hip injury.

Lyle is an out right striker...?

It's all pedestrian , in front and predictable.

Only one of those attacking options is Hughton's.

Yet he's supposed to get a tune out of that lot.

Forest were up against an equally dour play style. Former manager Aitor.

0-0. Another point closer to safety.

Better than a loss. The boys were competitive and seem more solid and confident with each passing game.

Not sure how you can watch the last few months and think we have a top half squad. However even if that is true we're 11 points off that, given we started with 4 losses, sounds like mid table form since then, or not far off.

Fundamentally, I think we are underperforming compared to the assets in our squad. And I think the manager is contributing to it.

Under Hughton we have 1.06 ppg, so it’s definitely not mid table form.

I was wondering if we might be able to discuss the level of our squad to support that discussion. So if we have a poor squad, shouldn’t it be easy to name 12 clubs with better squads?

The level of a squad that isn't his Aka inherited. ...and was crap and long since peaked without a fit Samba Sow keeping it afloat.

The level of this squad has been mediocre under two Managers.

But after 20 years repeating the chop and change patterns of mediocre leadership...

Repetitive?

Yeah.

Poor? Plenty of teams above us that had a pre-season or built upon last season without tearing it up and starting again.

Here's a mess, Hughton. You've got a third of a season to clear it up.

'Fundamentally' a failure of Club leadership.

If? It's been bottom 5 so far this season.

So it qualifies as poor and because of poor leadership and timing and poor preparation to this season.

A win takes Forest ahead of Warburton's QPR. He's doing great and at least he picked some of his players....

Knockaert is definitely better at corners

No chance

Cafu often overhits, knockaert puts them on penalty spot every time. No contest

You’re having a laugh mate, he’s taking the club for an expensive ride

Currently.
I would say there are about  19 teams with better squads than us from QPR up. Maybe not bigger or more expensive maybe not so many with past promotions in their CVs and definitely if we could transport back to 2017 then ours would be pretty good. However, its 2020, so currently ours appears to be around 20th best this season and this calendar year give or take.

Maybe it is all the managers fault?
Shipping goals and missing chances during our bad runs. Giving the ball away constantly in spells, no doubt the manager is to blame for the lack of concentration in some games for individual errors.

Sorry for my sarcasm, but at some point the players and "recruitment " have to take more responsibility for where we are. In fairness the players have shown some signs across last 3 games but only baby steps.

Stoke away should show where we are and if these baby steps can keep going. I would take a point and a clean sheet for sure.
