Is Vrentzos The New Mark Arthur, Should We Question Him?

Marthur signed loads of English based players.
I’m certainly not having a pop at Vrentzos - but it’s a bit of a stretch in saying he has good contacts in the English game ( and almost certainly no more than the vast majority of CEO’s )

It doesn't matter TPL. Gary Brazil is now working alongside Vrentzos and is in charge of domestic scouting/signings.

By the way, Gary Brazil obviously likes Vrentzos to take a job working closely with him.

Like him?
Or like the club, the expanded role & the money that goes with it?

I’m out - can’t be arsed to debate this any longer.

I will take that as game set and match then TPL

Not sure why you are getting upset?

I was just making the point that some have said that Vrentzos is not a nice man and is not nice to work for but Gary Brazil took on a new role alongside him and seems to like him. What is the problem youth?

Vrentzos is going to be ok with GB because he has bought 50m in !

Since the new owners have been in the PFA have been in more times that I can add up on one hand.
Vrentzos is not very nice, certainly with a high number of players that he signed !

With respect Reds73 it's not his job to be nice.

It would be nice though if the club could all pull together and find a nice atmosphere for everyone to work in.

And I think that is the key to it.

We have a good manager, good academy, and a number of good players.

EM really does need to concentrate on getting the correct environment for it to prosper.

The reason the academy has flourished is because it it never deviates from its core values and principles. They are all over the walls in the academy buildings. There is so much energy in and around the players and staff in the academy.

Our recruitment strategy and turnover means that players never get to build those bonds and that want to die for their mate next to them.

There needs to be a change of philosophy or EM is going to waste a hell of a lot of cash.

Yes, can't disagree with that. I think Reds73 nails it with a very interesting choice of words.
