Stuart Pearce AND Paul Hart
Firstly I hate to see our managers dejected and looking so lonely during the bad times.
Also Stuart Pearce brings so much, legend, media, good transfer dealings, also dealing with big transfers, Icon, could help balance the books. Also no fear of playing young players, total passion and dedication.
Paul Hart was the best manager we have had in the last 18 years, the diamond, offensive, awesome with academy talent. He has managed in the PL. He is totally loyal as well. He certainly knows the lower leagues, assisted at Luton who scored almost as many goals as Man City last season. Positive, entertaining football.
I think Marinakis should go and grovel to these 2 guys on his knees. Give them 5 years. They will be loyal. Total Forest. A partnership, involve Gary Brazil and develop Chris Cohen. Provide transparency and good relationship with the fans through the good times and bad times.
This would succeed, it would deliver success, goals and entertainment and even if we are getting stuffed you can walk away from the City Ground feeling proud and knowing the future is in safe hands and problems will be resolved.
I want to know hard working and deserving players will be encouraged and developed. Astute cost effective signings. Shrewd transfer dealings. I want to know there is unity and the whole club is a band of brothers.
Personality and charisma and integrity are what matters most and these 2 guys would deliver 100% guaranteed.
Also if we end up in embargo or skint, these would get us out of it, they wouldn't need to rely on the cheque book (or 100 page post match dossiers) or putting right wingers on the left so they can scream at them for 90 minutes.
more short term, desparate, PL or bust, crappping on the academy, revolving door.
I just want to be proud of NFFC, I'd follow these guys, they are true and loyal and Forest
Stuart Pearce?!
Absolute legend of a player - disaster as coach / manager. He should stick to punditry.

I think there is a current out of work manager who ticks most, if not all of those boxes and I think he would be interested to take on the roll if offered.
He's worked in the East Midlands before and he really enjoyed living in the area.
He also had a very short spell in Greece where he would have come across Mr. Marinakis.
I am talking about Claudio Ranieri.
Could we tempt him? (if/when the position becomes available). Would you want him?
I would take him.

Isn't Ranieri also known as a 'defensive manager'? Think he'd just get the same criticisms as Karanka has.

Nigel for me!
I think some of what's being said about Dean Smith is akin to what was once said about Mark Warburton, that's not to say it's wrong

Why Nigel though, just because of his name?

I agree with the comments about limited funds, the Academy, spotting players from around all the leagues and longer term squad building. Though I remember that's what MW thought his brief was.
I doubt that is Marinaks's view of the world though as recent history has revealed.
I really hope Karanka succeeds because I don' t want to see failure, but if the worst happens next season could be a whole different ball game, if the loanees go back and the Brereton sale doesn't keep us out of FFP trouble.
In the meantime let's look forward to this being a hiccup and onwards and upwards. COYR.

Marinakis 'favourite' manager is now at Everon, Marko Silva, we missed the boat on that one, for now anyway.
Another manager he admires and who he is close with is Michel, he is currently out of work.
Ranieri, I have already mentioned, could be an option.
Marinakis is also a huge admirer of Steven Gerrard, highly unlikely anything will happen with that one and most Forest fans would probably be against him.

I really hope AK can turn it round by realising some of his selections are clearly wrong .
Sick of the manager merry go round at Forest so don't want it to happen again so soon into the season.
We need to start racking up some wins though as our win % under him is woeful really.
