For me, if we can get a decent fee for him, and if we are selling to the Arabs, we probably will, then at least we get a decent chunk of what we spent on him in the first place and reduce the wage bill because I would hasten to guess that he is on a decent sized wage.

And lets face it, we aren't going to miss all the goals he scores week in, week out for us, are we?

Something hasn't been right with him for some time now and he did very similar at Sunderland when things weren't going right for him there and Villa came sniffing around. He could be disrupting the changing room if this is the case.

Sell and be done with him.

I thought the more interesting part of DT's article was the Lyle Taylor stuff. Why'd sabri tell him he'd play in a 2 then not do it. Maybe shows where Sabri's head was at. The stuff about his fitness perhaps suggests  Taylor was wrong to abandon the season.

Tough call for CH as DT says, do you massage Grabban's ego by picking him. Start Taylor to allow him to build fitness or play both and try and make that work. Not an easy decision

Something not right about that statement though (giving Sniffer tools to bash DT with which I am sure he will jump on), so Sabri told Taylor he would play 442? He has never once played 442, always a 4231 occasionally a 433 but those options would play Taylor out wide. Honestly I dont believe that promise was ever made. Cant believe CH will try it again in a hurry either.

Lyle said that though not DT, DT was just relaying the info. He doesn't say 442 either, mightve meant 352.

I agree jwjw i think Angle and mighten can back up taylor till jan , angle didn’t have a bad record at Oly in first season when Podance was putting cross’s in he looks decent with his head And always in the box for tap in’s . Remember he scored two against us last preseason. With Knockaert Grosicki Freeman and lolley providing the crosses might be a good option also Christie and IOU been putting in decent balls but grabbs has been nowhere near them id take the money .

Sabri tried Grabban and Taylor together in a front 2 in pre season and it didn’t work. Too similar.

Not sure we have the wide players to do the job at both ends of the pitch that 3 at the back normally requires. Even if we tried it I would say best chance is 3-4-3 with 2 inside forwards and one central striker.

I think based on the players we have 4-2-3-1 is our safest bet, and given the manager seems risk averse, the most likely. In which case recoup some money for Grabban, and hope Taylor doesn't get injured.
