While he needs to get himself a goal, perhaps it would be best if he got the last 30 of the match to find his mojo again rather than starting. He needs to score a goal but he is also carrying the weight of being the main goal getter for a team that aren't scoring many, which will only put more pressure on him as well as being made captain. Could be seen as very positive taking the pressure off him for a bit and sticking him on the bench rather than starting but making sure he knows that he will get 30 mins at the end. He ripped it up a few games back when he was benched to start with then came on and completely changed the game for the better.
I won't lie... i completely agree. I think he has gotten so comfortable with starting so often that the pressure is starting to get to him abit. The fact that he starts so regularly, however, can't seem to find the net has to be a nagging thought in his head! I personally prefer 2 upfront to allow Grabban the added support if he needed it and to also take some of the responsibility off of his shoulders to calm him down slightly..... and ngl I think giving him the captain's armband has added to that pressure a lot :-/

Must be quite difficult if you're the leader on the pitch and you miss an open goal. Id imagine you'd feel entirely responsible for the complete performance of the team. You've got to feel that.

Surely you also agree that he's missed a bucket full of sitters over the last few months SM? Some of those sitters have cost us a good few points too both at the end of last season which proved to be very very costly and so far this season too.

After the penalty was scored the camera returned to the centre circle ready for the restart which clearly showed Grabban standing passively and not engaging with his team, I am just politely pointing out what I observed and is not a slight on the guy. Not BS just observations expanding upon the points I made in my earlier post.
Sorry would you have preferred to see him running round each player high fiving them? All it showed was a guy waiting to take a kick off, you've grossly overinterpreted what happened and used it as unfair criticism.
There are plenty of fair criticisms of Lewis, he's missed some absolute sitters this year lets focus on those

Nobody has had more attempts on goal in the Sky Bet Championship so far this season than Nottingham Forest's Lewis Grabban (22). He's yet to open his account for the season.

Kind of the opposite of first half of last season isnt it. When he had about 15 goals from about 20 chances.
Sure he will come good again.

Absolutely.
You don’t become a bad player overnight.
Once he gets one - hopefully Friday - he’ll be fine.

I wonder if all will be forgiven if he bangs in one or two against the sheep dips, how fickle some fans are.
