I don’t think it does, that’s an emotive stance and things change quickly. The past doesn’t dictate the future.

Where do I say that I want Cooper gone or turning on him? I think he has a thankless task, I am surprised/disappointed that he doesn’t know his best eleven yet. I think if he doesn’t sort it quickly he will be gone, my / our opinion is irrelevant.

I didnt misquote you or take anything out of context. Your post was only one line which I repeated word for word, where you responded to SM.

I read that the words "not in the slightest" to suggest we were not in fact on to something special with Cooper and that in fact it was the opposite. Seemed to suggest you weren't a fan of Cooper. I'm sorry if that's not what you meant? 

Either way, I can scroll back through other people that have turned on him easily enough if I knew how to use the quote feature better!

I would probably be warmer to him right now if he were more committed to the role.

Not denying this isn't odd but without the full information I cant form an opinion either way. It doesn't affect my opinion of his managerial ability either way. It would be ideal if he just signed it and put the issue to bed ideally

As an outsider looking in my views would be :

Steve Cooper wants something - and he is not signing his new contract until he gets it.

So what we need to know is.......what does Steve Cooper want. Its not players, he got MGW and all the players he wanted.

So it must be some change at the club.

Does he want to be "manager" and not "coach" ?

Does he want someone removed from the club ? (This is the hot rumour)

Does he want someone brought into the club (staff wise) ?


So it looks to me like poker..........


My guess, purely that - is that Cooper wants perhaps a family member of EM removed from the club - and EM does not want to do this.........so we have stalemate.................. and its very unhealthy and is not helping the players or the club to be in this stalemate situation where Cooper refuses to sign and everyone, players included, are nervous about whats going to happen next.

It pleases me that you are both debating my words of wisdom.

For what its worth Im with Wassy in that in my opinion its best that Cooper stays for the good of the club pretty much come what may this season.
However User always seems to have a uniquely objective view of situations and he is very often correct.

With Cooper's contract expiring soon coupled with the fact that he hasn't shown a willingness to sign a new one it's inevitable that our search for a new head coach is just around the corner.
