Statement on the website now - Cooper stays (for now).
Fair play to EM - can't have been an easy call.

A statement from Nottingham Forest owner, Evangelos Marinakis:
“No one denies that our Club is in a difficult position in the Premier League, but we wish to end the speculation and the false and disruptive reporting in the media to confirm that Steve Cooper remains our manager at Nottingham Forest. “We have all been disappointed with recent performances and it is very clear that a lot of hard work needs to be done to address this urgently. Results and performances must improve immediately. “Now is the time for everyone connected with our club, from us as owners, to the board, our supporters, backroom staff, coaches and players - to come together and fight to secure our status in the Premier League. “There can be no time for distractions, rumours and speculation. There is only time for hard work, determination, a commitment from Steve and the players to getting the results we need and, of course, the continued magnificent support of the fans of Nottingham Forest.” Evangelos Marinakis

Fair play to the big man. That is Cooper here until season end.
I hope he read Cooper the riot act and told him to sort it out starting this weekend. No more dumb tactics or subs.

Whatever happens after this you can't say they haven't tried to make it work and back SC. It is now totally over to him to get the best out of these players. There is no more blame game of they are all new players or he didn't want them because they would have been all new to a new manager and all unwanted. It is all down to game plan, coaching and using the players the right way.

We'd have owed him a payout of some sorts, plus if he does go elsewhere in the summer we'd be due a decent fee. Brighton got 21m for Potter, not saying we get that but Mnaager fees going up. Every little helps

That’s not true. There are plenty of out of work managers but none willing to come in as they could do no better with the time and tools is my take. I’d have thought Rafa would have been interested though…

Also if we go down I hope Cooper gives back a bit of loyalty rather than swan off to palace or similar.
