Great performance by our young side.

bin dippers The Aftermath......

This game never happened.
I refuse to acknowledge anything about it.

Amartery 85th min
waiting to pass the ball no one wants it.
waves his arms around.
Hmmm, seen this at the end of Puels tenure.
Nowhere to hide for BR bringing on 23m subs against a team of loans

we looked frail, insipid, spinless - and worryingly leaderless on and off the pitch.
Too many players were simply not bothered about being embarrassed by this defeat.
Too many recent performances suggest there's something seriously wrong with the team, and a manager incapable of fixing it. Its time for him to go.

At least it was only 4….

Get gone, Rodgers, you complete tw@t.

Frankly we over achieved by only losing 4-1

I can't watch East Midlands Today for a whole week so that's a plus.

As with countless other games this season.  Not even angry.  Its standard Leicester and will continue to be until someone pulls the life support off Rodgers tenure here.  Stale isn't the word anymore, it's diabolical.

Will be taking banner Liverpool away. RODGERS OUT.

Let's just poach their manager.
That'll teach them.

There’s losing but then there are complete disaster classes. A few too many now under rodgers with bournemouth, spurs and now today

The naivety of this team strikes again.

This team has lost confidence, everything from defence to midfield especially is such a mess. From individual errors, to the defensive shape, to our passing, to our pressing game, it just feels so half-hearted and erratic.

Feel sorry for those having to work tomorrow with these gloating pricks.
This team has no leadership, none of those players today are captain material.
This is exactly like Rodgers’ final days at Liverpool, he gets you to a certain high point, then he fvcks you up.
He is a piss poor motivator, who when the going gets tough, downs tools and acts like he’s bored.

It can’t get worse than today. The cup holders losing 4-1 to a Championship side AND our local rivals. This is the biggest loss for the club in many years Imo. It’ll live long in the memory. Watching Leicester under Rodgers, defensively, is a joke I’m afraid.

‘For anyone even wanting to defend any aspect of that, just don’t. We had two shots on target in 90 mins, we were well beaten and it could have easily been more than 4-1

Im embarrassed today to be a Leicester fan. Why? Because losing to a rival actually means something

This thread promises to be biggest ever ft meltdown.

Can we swap managers with them, and the defence.

Have to say it looked like Tielemans and Ndidi had stopped playing for us today. Two key players appeared to be dialling it in. The Captain getting hooked after 65 minutes says it all.

What a joke of a team

First game I've seen in ages. After a miserable week I thought I'd treat myself, especially given that it was Forrest.
Boy, I was wrong.

I want to blame Rodgers, and I will do, but my anger currently is aimed at the gutless ***** wearing the shirt. Yes you can blame Rodgers organisational and motivational stuff but far too often these players have shown not bottle under pressure. No leadership on the pitch, no calmness after the first goal, no desire to get through tough periods.

After the first 15-20 minutes I felt we'd win comfortably. But then they all panic and collapse more than the English batting line up in Australia.
End of an era.

and that my friends is what a football ground should sound like ......

I don't believe in this team and cleary the team do not either. I hate this season.

Pathetic that the thread started by @Naliswas deleted saying well done to an opponent that deserved to beat us, even if it was Forest. We need Mods but not thin skinned ones. Take a lesson from Rugby fans on owning a defeat FFS.

Shearer convinced Forest will go up. Not a chance.

How do you bounce back from that, it’s clear the players have gone stale, no need to wait for the season to end, I would pull the trigger tomorrow

We would have been outplayed by a conference team today. Spineless bottlers.

uttery horrific performance
forest are a good side with a lot of money thrown at them recently
But **** me they could have had 6 today
Just diabolical

No-one comes out of that game looking anything else than ****ing useless. We couldn't even go toe to toe with a mid table team from the league below.

Getting dumped out by a mid-table championship side, and we were totally outplayed is just the ultimate embarrassment. I thought the spurs defeat was humiliating, this has topped it.

1st goal - Thomas does well holding Spence up who knocks it back to Johnson but where the fvck was Barnes! He had an age to get back there! Simple floated ball in and they score, Amartey, Soyuncu in terrible positions.

2nd goal - Amartey! Nothing else to say.

3rd goal - Ndidi let’s his man go in the middle of the fvcking box! Amateur defending.

4th goal - They have a throw and Amartey and Soyuncu are well out of position as they take it. Soyuncu is way too far up and is played out of the game with a simple give and go. Tbf Lookman was taken out as he went into the box so we should have had a free kick there.

Ref was really rubbish also.

You can’t give goals away like this. There’s gotta be something wrong behind the scenes.

Never wanted Forest to **** up, any promotion challenge more
get back in your box and remember you're still in the championship

There are no words for how bad we were today but credit where its due, forest well and truly raped us

Rodgers told us last week about he was looking forward to this Derby. He's a fraud and needs to make a full apology to those fans standing behind that goal in the rain. No excuses.

I am seriously worried about our league status now. This has got Wycombe written all over it.

Started off the better side. 2 quick goals killed us. Lost our heads. All over the place. Genuinely can’t pick our any player that played well. Out fought, our battled, bullied, no heart, no conviction, no urgency.

We have such a weak mentality when we concede. Instantly shit ourselves. Conjured up nothing. Even our goal came from a brain fart from their keeper.

The changes were all wrong. 3-0 at 35 minutes, make an instant change. I cannot believe how easy we made it for them. We have no one up for a battle when the chips are down and it’s going against us.

I honestly don’t know what the answer is from here on in, or the direction we go in. I certainly wouldn’t be bothered if Rodgers wasn’t the manager next game now.

The embarrassing gut wrenching defeats keep on racking up this season. I can’t remember being humbled this many times in a season, even when we were utter dog turd we knew when to clog it up in the middle and at the back to keep the score down.

Lifetime ban for the fan who ran on? If they want to punish him they should give him a season ticket.

I genuinely thought watching us get pumped 5-1 at the City Ground in the Championship was as bad as it would get. Seeing Robbie Earnshaw bag a hat-trick with Wayne Brown backing off was the worst.
How wrong I was!

I've been going down the City for 55 years. This has entered into the top 5 worst performances in my time.
Its going to take a long time to get over this.

Someone offered me £400 for a pair of tickets at Notts County FC before the game.

God I’m an idiot saying no.

Total utter  embarrassment, for the fans that went, the fans that want to go, and the fans watching on TV, worst game of the season, Liverpool next..................

The fan who ran on what an idiot I mean you should punch our players if anything performing like that

He Should be arrested and done for assault along with a life time ban from football and any sporting event. He’s not a fan he is  a brainless, mindless idiot looking for violence in the name of football. If he thinks that acceptable then he’s a danger to the public. Not acceptable or excusable in any shape or form.

This was like Rocky III, Rocky fights Clubber Lang but Rocky has lost the eye of the tiger and gets knocked out.
Let’s hope we find ours again we have gone stale.

Fair play to Forest. Better then us in every department, sounded like a great atmosphere

And whoever the cvnt is who ran on and slapped (at best) the Forest players - you sir are an utter cvnt. Get out of our club and dont' come back

For us 40-somethings, we have lived in Forest's shadow for most of our lives.  European Cup, league title etc etc while we didn't have a pot to piss in.

You wouldn't know it today, but times have changed.  Two League Cups, A Premier League title, Charity Shield and an FA Cup whilst Forest languish with the bottom feeders.  This was our chance to laud it over them.  A chance for years of payback and yet it was those no-hopers that spent the whole 90 minutes taking the piss out of us.

Those players let us down today.  It will take a while for ,e to forgive that performance.

Ah. Nothing like being humiliated on live tv to set you up for the week.

Forest put four past us without their top goalscorer

All you total idiots on here need to keep your mouths shut in future. Giving it the big one saying how we’ll beat this pile of poo.

Well we really showed them today.

Well Rogers can do one after that.

This teams got know fight. Absolute garbage, it’s been the same for 12 months or more now…

Forest fans will mock us for years to come after this game. Total garbage team and manager., Top needs to act now or his dads dream will soon be a thing of the past

4-1 flattered us- as damning as it gets.

Forest had the desire. We had a premier league misguided arrogance which is built on sand. Our performance was shocking. We have no one who can stand up and be counted. The best team deservedly won…and good luck to them in the next round.

Go and buy Johnson and Spence ASAP, they ripped us a new one.  Credit where its due well done Forest.

Right going back to pretending this didn't happen.

After hearing the absolute state of our fans all day, I am 100% glad we lost, absolutely no class, shame on us

I actually felt jealous of Forest yesterday.

Good pubs, organic atmosphere, no goal music/clappers, a club anthem, three stands singing, no daft shit like cover bands or bouncycastles outside the stadium and an actual willingness to get behind their team.

That’s without mentioning the game.

I thought they were good yesterday to be fair to them. All added in with a proper ground too which had nods to everything they've won around the stand.

I fail to understand why a club wouldn't want to create a hostile atmosphere for visiting players. Whipping the crowd up helps you gain momentum. You could see it yesterday & unfortunately for us yesterdays match was the perfect example, every misplaced pass our players made was cheered and our players buckled in that atmosphere it helped forest gain an advantage on the field.

It all starts with the pre match music and the atmosphere builds from then on.

Pre match music was a million times better on Sunday than the crap our club comes up with.

Watching Forest destroy Leicester in the FA Cup. If they play like this on Wednesday we will be in deep trouble!

doubt they`ll have the same intensity,it is a local derby and they take it out of you physically,if we produce the listless **** like we did at swansea they will beat us easily though

At least they should come at us so we should be able to play our normal counter attacking game.

Oh ye of little faith (puts head in one's hands at the thought)

Tony, all we have to do is do what we did game in game out, from being embarrassingly thumped by Fulham until an inept display against Hull.

Revert to what bloody works generally: 2 banks of 3 (we know who), fill the rest with the plethora of talent at your disposal. Get on the front foot, front 3 harassing and chasing down, creating mistakes, wing backs giving energy, cover and width, tucking inside when necessary.

If it doesn't work, then revert to 'plan B', crosses in to a 'big lump' up top. Swansea was ridiculous.... crosses galore, all sweet as a nut, from Ryan Giles but Alan Shearer left in 1996....he'd have filled his boots!

Fed up (Swansea was an awful trip in more ways than one), not really I guess, we're still second but need to pull our collective fingers out in order to stay there!

Tough game and one where anything but a win will make a genuine top 2 push seem all the further away with other teams gathering games in hand.

Hopefully we have a few more players available, I think the main decision is who to partner Brereton with, Khadra had been poor for a few games prior to injury, Hedges had a fairly quiet debut and Gallagher has his faults although if fit may benefit from Giles more than most.

Buckley is not in the best form either and if Gallagher is available, then maybe having Hedges in that false 9 role would be worth a go, with it being critical to act as a third midfielder at times which Hedges could do whilst also offering a bigger goal threat.

Kaminski

Lenihan Van Hecke Wharton

Nyambe Travis Rothwell Giles

Gallagher Hedges Brereton

Subs: Pears, Ayala, Zeefuik, Davenport, Johnson, Khadra, Buckley

If Gallagher doesn't make it, then put Buckley in and move Hedges to the right.

Johnson and Spence will be a big danger down their right/our left.

After the atmosphere and performance from today i'm hoping Forest struggle to get up for the league game on Wed,hopefully its an after the Lord mayors show game for them.Get BBD in from the start and get Giles to ping the crosses at him and it'll be 2-0 to us.

Hopefully it's a case of after the Lord Mayors show for them and they find our defense far less generous.

As for us i fear the tombola is back on the scene and there'll be a host of changes again that just won't click but we'll see.

Rovers 1   Forest  1

I would treat them with respect, forest are one of the improving teams in the championship. Rovers need turn up Wednesday.

Forest looked very impressive on MoD and Cooper has clearly got a good team spirit going. A difficult game and a draw would be a good result on our current form

Cooper is an excellent coach and Forest lucky to get him - think they must be absolutely puddled in Swansea!

Think Wednesday for Forest will be a bit like 'after the Lord Mayor's show'!

You can get Rovers' win at 6/4 which I think is fantastic value.

Giles is going to be huge for Rovers and I see him creating at least two goals for a 'rested' BB on Wednesday.

Gone big on Rovers' win and also stuck a £fiver on 3-1 at 24/1.

Lost on Saturday but Rovers really coined it in for me in recent times.

That's that then ....... the bookies friend has formally declared a Forest win

Always fill your boots on the opposite @Mercer says

Spence at right wing back is in the Jones at Boro mould in being skilful and fast. Edun came to terms with Jones eventually and Giles will have to do so for this one, if he plays. I don't know if Giles has pace but he'll need it to keep Spence quiet. If he does, he'll have done better than the Leicester and Arsenal defenders.

Only problem, then, is that Zinckernagel and Johnson are skilful runners too and in form.

We know we can rattle teams with fierce press and runners, when our's are fit. I think Buckley is being targeted by other teams and Mowbray needs to think about giving him more support in that area, or, shifting his role a little so not everything has to go through him. My guess, which could well be wildly wrong, is that Buckley in No.10 role will have diminishing returns in the current set-up. He's really a CM.

Edit: If Gallagher and Dolan aren't ready, I think Vale has to be on the bench. It makes more sense to have an in-form young forward come on than full backs trying to play up front.

If Diaz turns up and if the rest realise that a goal is scored by kicking or heading the ball into the Forest net then at Ewood we can prevail.

Just do not expose ZeeF at LB or LWB to Spence or he and us will be well screwed.

Someone in our midfield will also be required to do a number on Garner because he will do on them.

Finally when Giles is putting 50+ crosses in it is rather a good idea to have someone in the centre who is at least brave enough to head the ball and has some idea of  where the goal if.

I hope not to see our lot losing possession easily and jumping out of tackles.

I also hope not to see JRC, vastly overrated shirt waster.

Always give us a chance at ewood but yeah they looked brilliant yesterday. Hopefully it took it out if them and we can get the odd goal. Unrelated but how shite is Scott Parker as a manager.

I think I'd rather we were playing Leicester on Wednesday, they were awful. If Forest are half as fired up as yesterday it is going to be a very difficult game.

Such a shame we've had a slip up because Bournemouth will be in panic stations. Poor league form coupled with the FA Cup loss to a non-league side. Take the lead and we'll win the game, concede first and I think it could be another February loss.

A win in this one is massively important. Not just to keep Forest at a good distance but also to immediately bounce back from defeat as we did with Middlesbrough the other week.

Concerning signs creeping in particularly away from home where we seem to be losing our effectiveness and the goals have dried up. We need to get back on track

A quick look at the fixtures this week suggests an opportunity. QPR play Middlesbrough and West Brom head to Sheff United. Two tough games for those sides and points being dropped along the way. We need to capitalise.

We can beat Forest if we give it 100%.

Very tough game, after the loss at Swansea it’s important to win this game. Lose and our hopes of second spot are over, win and it is all back on

Got to be Khadra upfront. Back to what's got us where we are now.

It is a concern that now we have such a weapon in Giles delivery, Mowbray will opt to use it all the time.

Back to what was working. Gallagher to sub on and start trying to get on the end of crosses as option B.

Tough, tough game now and it's a tipping point that we are either on a standard Mowbray death spiral or to show some resilience, which we will really need of we have any promotion aspirations, and get back to putting points on the board.

QPR and Bournemouth with 2 games in hand, we need the 3 points but I can't see it.

1-1 I think.

A draw might have the chasing pack breathing down our necks, I think rovers will get it together. I predict 3-1 rovers.

Got a feeling Dack will be on the bench tomorrow night ....more as a morale booster than a serious option.

The pitch will be in shit tomorrow night

They’ll still be watering it…

I have a feeling we'll win tomorrow night. Forest put in one hell of a shift on Sunday and we usually pull it out of the bag just when we're expecting defeat:

Rovers 2 Forest 1

Could be a huge game for us this, QPR face Boro and Sheff Utd face West Brom on the same night.

Whilst QPR and Bournemouth have games in hand, it shouldn't worry us too much. They still have to squeeze in the extra fixtures and get points from them, which isn't at all a guarantee.

Continued.....

I took note of the fact that both of them have somewhat difficult fixtures in April, right near the finishing line where they'll be pushing for points... hopefully they fold under the pressure, whilst we have something of an 'easier' run to end the season (for the most part).

If we can manage a couple of wins and a couple of draws from now until we play Fulham in early March i'll be pleased, since after that you'd fully expect us to win the majority of our remaining games.

I don't think QPR will beat 'boro tomorrow, hopefully Birmingham can grind a result at Bournemouth... and we'll beat Forest, 2-0!

Forest have beat 3 lower half of the championship table teams before losing to cardiff. I think they were 200% up for it in the local derby cup tie against leicester. Rovers have beaten the same teams earlier in the season, not forgetting cardiff twice.

Hearing Mowbray talk about the team having to adapt to new signings has me slightly worried now.

Forests performance levels against Cardiff and Leicester were poles apart. Depends which team turns up. Cardiff pressed really hard and just managed to stifle the Brennan/Spencer combination that wrecked Leicester.

According to the BBC, Forest played with four at the back in their defeat against Cardiff at the end of January. Cardiff gave them 60% possession but managed to win 2-1. Against Leicester, Cooper brought the on-loan Villa forward, Keinan Davis back in and from the looks of things, did "a Mowbray" playing three forwards, with their 'target man' Keinan Davis out wide left, Zinckernagel through the middle and Johnson on the right.

So, it looks like it will be like for like tomorrow, in terms of formation, almost exactly.

Somewhat amazed to learn we have the best home record in the division, better than even Fulham. Time for our goal shy midfielders to step up; 4 goals from Buckley, Rothwell and Travis is pathetic (a thought brought on by Super-Atko being Rovers goal of the day on Instagram).

With all the rain recently i dread to think what the pitch is going to be like by the end of the game tomorrow, probably going to ruin the pitch for the rest of the season.I know it's a non league team but Chorley's game tonight has just been postponed showing how much it's been raining the last few days.
