Usual twitter meltdown on subs but I agree with houghton today. We needed not to lose and we didn’t. We look solid and are getting some patterns of play.
Samba 7 nothing much to do but assured and came off his line well a few times
Christie 7 a much more conservative approach but defended well.
Bong 7 solid but unspectacular- a couple of good covering tackles
Figgs 8 I’ve been his biggest critic but very very good today
Worrall 9 immense
Cafu 6 OK solid
Garner 6 OK solid - should have short first time in first half
Knockeart- 6great engine but a bit greedy
Freeman 5 - neat and tidy but a bit unfit
Kronovic-6 great pressing from him and neat and tidy but needs to start doing a bit more for me
Murray7 so impressed by his presence and work - stopped defence of Bournemouth bombing on

With 5 minutes left I called Christie or Figs as motm, but a couple of late blocks etc from Joe makes the above a fair call too.

Would love to have won, but they look to have come out of their slump and a decent side. Yet not one shot on target. No clear cut chances. Credit to all of back 5 today. 

Positives.
Clean sheet
Zero shots on target against.
Point against top 6 team
All of back 5.
Figs looking like a proper CH again.
Knockearts work rate
Garner 1st half.
That passage of play which ended with a Garner shot (Figs pass to Knockeart too!).
Resolve to hang on in last 10 minutes.

Negatives-only 3.
Freeman! Brings almost nothing defensively or going forward-amazed he stayed on.
Krovinivic- I so want him to be the great no 10 /deep front man, but he keeps giving ball away, lieing on floor and moaning he was fouled (when even us one eyed reds dont think he was) and after a promising couple of passes in first game is a not yet offering any more than any other number 10s of last 2 or 3 seasons (except Freeman). 
Worrall in shop window again and looking like a Prem centre half in waiting, then spoke like one.

Neutral:
Lack of subs (possibly a positive-depends how you look at it). Just thought energy to stem the tide in last 10 or 15, but then we got clean sheet so what do I know. Never saw us winning it in last 15 though, so not a Mighten type sub. More a Grabbs for Krovinivic or a left back for Freeman.

I thought that too. Hes begining to be more effective the more games he plays. Clearly playing injured before. He'll be flying by the end of the season when we have to give him back !

I thought bar 1 ok cross, 1 nut meg and randomly a really big defensive header from a set piece near the end, he did nothing of any note. He got done in a foot race he should be winning and lost the ball quite a bit, including a bit of basic control when a break was on.

I can imagine he looks great in possession grids and 5 a sides in training though....

Our run has clawed those teams around us right into the mire.

I got very frustrated with Hughton this game. When 65 was up on the clock I was looking too see some changes to try and break the deadlock. The team had played fairly well against good opponents and were solid at the back. I wanted to see Lolley replace Freeman and add some direct running, a bit more urgency down the left flank. It didn't happen and no changes at all were made. Disappointed he was happy to settle for a draw or only try and nick it when I think they could have taken the game to Bournemouth a bit more aggressively in the last 15 minutes.

Other than that I really like Bournemouth's kit.

I think both managers looked at their opponent today and thought they'd be happy with a draw and so thats what inevitably happened.
