A game we would have lost at the start of last season (very Bournemouth and Fulham performance) but stuck in there and ground out an important win to get us started

Marinakis watching on. I asked for significant improvement at the end of last season, says he...well sorry he's not seen any. The best teams are the ones who dominate possession, we did that twice and scored twice. When we went low block they dominated and scored. I think ive sussed out their transfer strategy, EM will dump Cooper before the end of the transfer window and tempt a new manager with a 50m kitty to spend in a hurry....ok maybe not..

That winning header could not have been scored by many players. Wood is worth keeping around for that alone. Was impressed by Aurier’s deliveries too. Gibbs White and Danilo both over complicated things tonight. We didn’t seem sure what to do with possession at times. We also need Felipe and Niakhate back, or a new CB
