Maybe it is good for him. I read about him when he was looking at buying Everton a while ago talking about frustration at not being able to buy his partners out at Palace. Now he’s got an exit from them at a high point so he’s free to look for a new English club, and giving Parish a black eye as he leaves.

I actually think they'd still lose as they missed the deadline. The precedent was already set with the Club World Cup in a fairly similar scenario and Cas backed the expulsion.

Would likely mean us taking it to Cas though which I'm unconvinced we would do that.

The statement from UEFA suggests if Lyon get relegation overturned then Palace will get kicked out but if Lyon get relegation confirmed then Palace play in Europa.

When is the Lyon appeal?

This is getting silly now.

Either way, everyone involved should at least know what competition they’ll be in next season.
