I dunno. There seems to be some goodwill towards Wood from fans of other clubs from reading Twitter comments. I think some fans like the idea of a 'throwback' forward doing well so he might have a chance of winning.

Yes but is MGW going to be feeding him this week so he can win November player of the month too!

Selz also up for Save of the Month for October for the one where he tipped Eze's shot onto the crossbar.

It really is fantastic for both the player and the club.

If Danilo gets back to full fitness and fulfils his potential I could really see him getting international recognition too.

Absolutely is
With how we have / are nurturing Murillo, MGW and Anderson we really could be the destination for the real elite young talents to come and showcase their talents

Its more than just him that’s made the difference though. Anderson and Moreno for starters. Having better  wide players to come on as subs and Morato to see games out.
Then Nuno has had a slimmed down and crucially settled squad to work with over the summer. Its a combination of many factors.

On top of successful signings, continued incremental improvement of lots of other players, too. Sels, Aina, Dominguez, CHO, Elanga, Murillo and of course Yates have all looked better to varying degrees. Wood looks sensational. Williams our 4th best player last season (POTY votes) is currently a very effective sub-along with a few others.  Danilo snd Sangare had started season well and will be back for new year-ish.

Long may it continue.

I'd hope to think we are close to getting a few contracts sorted out. I'd expect one or two announcements soon.

MGW, Wood, Aina, CHO. I also think we are probably in a good position to offer Murillo better terms with a 1 year extension.

What a fantastic group of players we have assembled. Well done to all involved. Brilliant
