Just back.
Firstly, wolves used this as an extra pre season game and had all their first team in the 17. Their back 3 was the one that started v Spurs. They we’re all bloody giants too. Apart from Podence who shows what a proper small number 10 should be - nippy, skilful and ROBUST. To think that we got carvalho for more money than oly paid for him is rediculous.
We played with practically a back 6 with our wingers as extra full backs. For an hour we held on admirably but then capitulated a little and gifted them 2 of the goals with poor mistakes. Our keeper was excellent though.
Horvath: MOM - very good saves- good quick distribution- vocal
Fin Back: this kid is a player. Didn’t shirk at any time. Tenacious.
Harbottle: some great brave clearances- mistake in possession cruelty led to a goal. Good potential
Fernandez: thought he did great- a bit of a brute and needs to work on possession
Richardson: once this kid starts carrying the ball he glides! I would like to see him at right back because he just seems to be hampered playing on his wrong side -
Colback: thought he had a good game- industrial and vocal. Laughed second half when he had a fall out with Hughton for passing the half way line.
Garner: rolls Royce
Fornah: has the balls to want the ball in tight positions and keep possession.
Konante: put a shift in as the extra full back- put a lovely cross in too in the second half for Hammond who should have really scored
Grabban: fans booed him but bloody hell - what was he supposed to do - he had saiss and coady up his arse
Hammond: struggled physically but never gave up in helping out fin back.
Taylor: did more than Grabban but falls and moans too much.
When you consider traore is attracting £30m bids and think him and another one of their players would cost more than our club then that puts it into perspective.
Horrible atmosphere and worrying apathy amongst some.

Horrible atmosphere and worrying apathy amongst some. The young uns did well and we can all be proud and get behind them. The atmosphere is to the manager and slowly turning towards the owners too especially on Twitter.
The majority of fans feel that the kids have been hung out to dry tonight epitomised by colbacks fall out with CH. Instructions to defend and hold them off... ffs kids against a prem team you are asking for trouble. Feel dorry for them they worked so hard to the managers instruction.
Somethings got to give... do we really have to wait to lose at the sheep dip... why can't they get rid now and give us a fighting chance.

What is with all his nodding in the interviews when he gives his responses? It’s as if he’s attended a media training course that says if you nod people will agree with you. We won’t mate, you’re not a fking Jedi.
Has he gone yet?

Just got home. Wolves 1st XI vs Forest youth/MF. Battled hard, Completely outgunned. Most entertaining part of the day was probably a bunch of kids from both clubs trying to act hard on Fox Road and re-enact a non contact version of Green Street in an 8 a side after the game.
Positives
-Fin Back looks better with every game and the only member of back 4 who held his own defensively.
-It was only 4, it could have been 10.
- Horvath looked superb, a part of the reason it wasn't 10.
- Garner got minutes.
-Cafu's cameo was actually very good.
Negatives
-We barely laid a glove on them.
- Attendance was poor.
- We are out of the League Cup.
- I fear for Saturday.
- Clearly Figs is still our best available CB alongside McKenna.
No blame at all on Hughton. He wasn't to know they would go so strong and he has to do what he thinks is important for the weekend. Those saying he should have attacked more, clearly either weren't there or know something I definitely don't as Wolves were on a different planet. If our best XI played, the score might have been the same and injuries picked up. Their 3rd goal was sheer class, straight through the middle, but incisive beyond belief.
God I miss being any good....

Spot on, especially Fin Back. Composure, pace and tough.
How many times did Podence materialise in space in our area. Although they both made mistakes that led to goals, I was very impressed with the centre halves who pulled off last ditch tackles and blocks, especially first half. I also liked the moment where Konate had the balls to take on Traore (who was literally twice as wide as him) for skill.
Brazil and his staff are doing a fine job and, if we can patch together the first team for a couple of years hhe future may be brighter.
The only disappointing thing was that, in a game where we were going to get barely any possession in good areas, we didn't take care of the ball.

A pity we didn't spend the money on Podence when we had the chance (he went to Oly' instead then to the Premier?) He seemed a live wire last night.

That article is horrible and stinks. The lad was clearly not ready, playing out of position but stuck to his task. He also got on the end of a cross- should have scored but showed great desire. He just turned 18 and I hope he doesn’t read that drivel. He is hardly a regular for the u23 yet and probably a stand out in our U18 team.

Fair points.
I can't remember ever feeling this low going into a Derby game.
I'm hoping that his decision to rest key players is a positive and they come out all guns blazing.

If they don't then they're gong to find themselves on the end of a pasting.

I have a horrible feeling it will be like the 5-0 from 2014.
