I will be amazed if Carroll even makes the bench.

His fitness is that bad? Can’t be that far to walk from the dressing room surely?

Hopefully Hoilett is fit and can play instead of the waste of space that is Puscas.

Forest have been in good form up until now but very often the international break disrupts that momentum. I think we will see this tomorrow.

3-1 Reading and very possibly with Puscas finally breaking his duck.

Do you think Samba will be feeling charitable in goal again?

The Forest forum has a thread titled “Brice Samba - Magic Hands” not sure if it is ironic or not, but I hope he comes up with the kind of magic we have seen in the past.

they've been on pretty good form since Cooper joined, but only one win in the last 4. So not like they are on fire or anything. Quite a few late equalisers/winners have kept their run going - not that that means a lot in itself, but points to a team that keeps fighting to the end etc

reckon a 1-1 is on the cards. Be a bit disappointed not to win though, don't think they are particularly special

Why would anyone think Andy Carroll is fit enough to start this game?

I think it's more hope than belief. As in an unfit Andy Carroll for 45mins could have more impact on the game than a fully match fit Puscas over 90mins.

He needs to play games to get the fitness and sharpness back. Would presume he’ll get a couple of 20-30 minute cameos from the bench v Forest and Sheffield and then perhaps start for an hour or so v Swansea? Or perhaps that’s too much in a week.

Team News announced.....

Rino now six weeks into his "one week away from returning to the first team" !!!!

Yes, all that hope of possibly 3 or 4 back and only Drinkwater has made it

No Araruna after playing two unders games a couple weeks back.
Pretty desperate stuff.
Hard on TDB who has been more than decent when used in position.
5 at the back or Yiadom RW do we think?

Who’s that new guy on the bench? Hopefully he can come on and be Abrefa fresh air.

WTF are Forest wearing!?

Goal
That defending

Liam Moore if you ever read this please oxf*rd off and never come back you overpaid waster

Moore is not a championship defender that was embarrassing.

2 gifts in 2 games is it?

Not Moore again surely, what is it, an encore for those that missed Brum?

Shhh careful otherwise you’ll be accused of making him a scapegoat. It’s everyone else’s fault he’s shit, duh.

Nice cut back, good effort. Need more of that.

Should probably score there.
Good work by Yiadom

Lazy from Puscas. Brain dead from Ejaria.

Harsh on Puscas. Replay shows he started on side, tried to bend his run slightly, but the defender on far side out of his eyeline was very quick to react to the possession loss and step up.

Only way Puscas can stay on is to run back towards our goal which basically means he's moving the wrong way for the break.

Surely that's a pen or a corner, how is it play on ffs?

Drinkwater is such an enigma.

Clearly class. But makes half a dozen ridiculously poor simple unforced mistakes a game.

Never rated forests keeper always looked a calamity waiting to happen. We should be working him at every opportunity

Utter tripe from Moore allowing himself to get turned so easy, then having to take one for the team

“Moore’s been turned”

Well obviously.

He is a poor defender, he’s either too close when he shouldn’t be, or backs off to much. Has zero positional sense which is why he looks good making so many late last minute blocks, because had he done his job to begin with, it probably would never come to that. Anyone that thinks differently is living in the past.

Liam Moore is a disgrace and needs to look at himself in the mirror

That exemplifies my ire at Ejaria.

Space outside with the option of a 1 on 1 vs a defender or time to cross.

He stops, waits, watches, checks back. Second defender has time to get in, and the three players we had in the box waste their good runs because he just stops everything and ignores them. Then they need to reset their runs.

He does find Rahman outside the box who has a decent shot which Samba palms past Yiadom, but not going to score from there often.

Would score much more from an early near post cross or beating his defender and running at goal.

Anyone surprised by Yiadom being our most fouled player hopefully paying attention. He's had 4 / 5 already.

Ooooo Puscas. Damnit. Didn't see it clearly. Samba done well or Puscas should do better?

We're still in this and getting chances. But we're very clearly second best.

Why is it when the other team have the ball in their final third and box, it falls to them nicely, we sit off and wait and they have all the time in the world to pick their pass and do what they want.

When it’s us, we turn into headless chickens, are pressed and do a series of silly things before eventually losing the ball.

Been mostly the same for a decade. We always seem to give them space and be marked tight.

I think it's because we play so slow often.

Got here late so missed the first 15min, but tbf I don't think we took too bad.

Getting a lot of joy down our right, but Ejaria is being useless on the left

That exemplifies my ire at Ejaria.

After 3 years same old same old. Not aggressive enough. Less talented player with pace would be far more effective. Another punt that hasn't paid off.

If I was the manager I'd take off Moore who's on a yellow, make Dann captain and bring on Carroll alongside Puscas and see how they get on.

But Paunovic admitted he plans his subs before every game so no doubt Puscas will come off between 65-70 minutes and Carroll will come on instead

So far, Yiadom probably our best player.

Swift, Holmes good Rahman good.

Dann, Puscas and Southwood ok

Laurent meh

Ejaria, Drinkwater and Moore poor.

We’ll win this 3-1

Think Holmes has been our best player. Having to cover the lump next to him ain't easy

Good from Moore then.

Thank oxf*rd Grabban went for glory because there is no chance they fail to score if he passes.

Awful awful defending from Dann.

He hasn’t covered himself in glory at all day. Not quite sure what he was doing for their goal either.

The lack of pace of Dann and Drinkwater keeps being exposed here

Hope when Carroll comes we leave Puscas on and we go two up top

That early cross in from Rahman then.

That's what we should be doing. But no one moved or anticipated it because everything that comes down that flank is always late and slow.

Dann and Drinkwater look like they're just on a last payday before retiring. Sometimes show quality, but just really lacklustre and full of errors.

Here he comes

Puscas has almost had a good game.

Played well, harried well, got chances.... just no goal

Liam Moore off woohooo

GUYS EVERYONE STOP PAUNOVIC JUST SUBBED OFF LIAM MOORE
I REPEAT LIAM MOORE HAS BEEN SUBBED
THIS IS NOT A DRILL

Good lord. Two strikers.
Captain Calamity off.

What a shit fk.

Goal
Dann Dann Dann Dann Dann Dann

Great knockdown from the big man. Lead to the corner.

Substitution of the season.

What’s going on? Apart from the score, what have I missed?

Open game.

First half both teams had chances, Forest the better team and score. Second half, both sides have chances, Reading the better and score.

Either team could have had about 3 / 4.

One way traffic. Lovely to see
This has got a late Grabban winner written all over it

How Forest don't have at least 3 I've no idea.

That looked like it could be a penalty.
Puscas playing well

Looked like a great tackle from Rahman…
That's the best tackle I've seen this season. Beautifully timed. Fk my arse you blind prick.

Holmes is twice the player Moore is

Good second half! Glad Paunovic played 2 up front for once. On another day we may have nicked that but a draw was a fair result.

I'm not usually complimentary of the opposition but Forest were pretty decent apart from a few lapses. Can see why they don't lose many away from home.

I’m one of Pauno’s biggest detractors but credit to him, the substitutions were brave.

We’re still a shambles defensively, Forest really should have had a few.

Not a bad point overall, especially coming from behind.

We had the better chances though, were Forest a shambles too ?

Good game between two good teams. Draw was a fair result. Holmes MoM. Reckon Forest will be in the POs.

Can anyone tell me a worst striker, we have owned than Puscas?.. utterly useless waste of time

Had a good game today.

I did'nt think so...was standing in an offside position when could of been through on goal in the first half and should of done better when 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper. Ran into traffic on another occasion. A striker is there to put the ball in the net and he just doesn't or get involved at all really. What he really needs is a good 3/4 game sit out to get his head back in the game

Thought Puscas looked like as decent striker second half. Carrol was getting all the attention and space was opening up. Carrol clearly looked off the pace but it looked like a good set up, up front.

I didn’t think they were great defensively, no.

Not sure I agree we had the better chances either.

pretty even all round I thought. Game really opened up when we went 2 up - and not necessarily in a good way for us. Teams run at us far too easily. Forest had a couple of good chances at the end but next to nothing after their goal and before we went 2 up top

But enjoyed the game and will take the point

You kidding? When Moore cleared off the line from Grabban was an absolute certain goal if he squared it to one of two players... that was at 1-0 I thought..

Plus a cross that one of their players airkicked that should have been a near certain goal. But that may have been later.

I'd say we had more chances, but the fewer ones they had were better.

We had the better chances first half, they had the better chances second half.

Sourwood barely had a save to make whereas their keeper had to make at least 4 genuine saves. Forcing a save rates as a better chance than someone not squaring the ball for someone else who may or may not have then scored....

Colback sent off for Forest tonight so misses game on Friday at ours.

Let me guess...we boot the ball up the pitch with no thought and our "strikers" will be non existent?

I wonder how long it will take for the home crowd to turn on the board on Friday?

think this will be a low turn out from fans . plenty of empty seats.

After Tuesday night I’ve got a feeling this may be one of those games where if it’s not going our way the atmosphere will turns poisonous both towards Val and the board.

Here’s hoping for an early goal which will hopefully create a positive atmosphere

Hear Hear Liam, an early goal or two would be a real settler, the longer it goes on the more vitriolic the atmosphere will become. Also think it will be a meagre crowd.
I'm not going as I have plans with my wife, in fact I probably won't even get to watch, which I'm not that upset about, I maybe need a bit of cold turkey!

Can I join you and the wife? My names Liam.

Currently sounds more appealing than watching the game and having to see SmethDans ugly mush

This is probably not the site you are looking for Liam

I don't know why but I've got this feeling Val is going to hand Tom Fellows his debut. No ITK or anything, might be a million miles off but just got this feeling.

I will be disappointed if TGH isn't recalled at the expense of Furlong.

Is Fellows any good? Genuine question as I have not seen the lad play.

For the U23's he is very good IMO. No-nonsense player. Head down and get past people.

Let's get at Forest and put 3 points on the board, keep a foot in the door till Xmas, going to be a couple of months slog for everyone now

I believe our long suffering and loyal fans will be pivotal in providing the motivation and drive for a much needed three points we so badly need from the team

Looks like Snodgrass' absence isn't down to injury but VI would enlighten as to why he'd missed last 2 games !

Probably told him what we all know, we can’t play these tactics!

'Long suffering?'  In what universe?

Try the amount of time Forest have been wandering the desert.

Much longer and it will rival the Dead Sea Scrolls.
