QPR Aftermath......
Absolutely gutted an OG, we must have done something really bad in a former life!!!
Totally never deserved that, they never looked like scoring and we were pretty comfortable
So disappointed with the final result but think we played sp well and performed so well just 4 days after a hard game on Tuesday.
Uncs was great again, but MOTM was JoJo. He was absolutely everywhere and is such a great leader when he plays further forward
We were talking at HT and the opinion is that Barbet is some sort of freak. The guy is immense and never misses a mi use let alone a game
Moses had a good game as well, in fact the defence looked good tonight
Willock is having a dip in form but that is natural.
So disappointed on the result but pleased with the commitment of the team. So unlucky that
Fair result.
Agreed. Tbf they looked pretty good, can see them going on a run.
Thankfully the week is over would have taken a point at the start disappointing to throw the win away at the death…really need to improve game management same as Peterborough.
One of those goals you knew was coming as soon as it dropped for Colback. His 1st goal since 2019. Of course.
Bugger.
Weak , no backbone , surrender monkeys , took the decision not to go tonight as working tomorrow and totally deflated after going to Fulham Peter and Sunderland !! , never felt comfortable at 1 - 0 now as fking usual another weekend ruined
Since the break we have been a different team like last season , expect not to win , can’t even blame the defence as we don’t even worry the opposition going forward anymore
Totally fcuk Ed off tonight
Wow. I thought we were ok. Having to burn early subs 30 minutes in meaning you can't freshen the midfield later on didn't help. On top of an extra midweek game that forest didn't have I'm quite proud of them tonight.
Five points dropped in stoppage time, three of them this week. Hoping this isn’t a bugaboo all season.
Definitely felt the tired legs at the end of the match. Warbs being forced to make two subs in the first 25 minutes absolutely did not help. Hope Jordy and Sam are alright… we’ll need them.
Albert looked like he was running on empty but just kept going. Love that man.
Thought we were pretty comfortable and they didn't really threaten. They got lucky with the defection and the fella who crossed it looked offside
We had chances to kill the game off and paid the price
Winnable away games coming up
Sky currently giving Forest a blow-job live on TV. Unbelievable.
After Colback beat five men and smashed the equaliser into the top corner from 40 yards it’s only fair.
Thought they did that all the way through the game - I switched over as soon as the game finished.
There was one QPR attack where a Forest defender plays Dykes onside and then blocks his shot - the commentators then are creaming themselves over the block without any mention of the good attacking move which led to it. And if the Forest defender had held the line, he would have played Dykes offside!
I switched off as soon as the game ended. Knew they would have a Forest Love in. Tossers
I thought it was our best performance of the season in many ways. Certainly our most mature. If one of those Dykes chances goes in second half it's a comfortable win.
Can’t buy a break at the moment.
F*ck knows what I’d have done if they’d scored a second at the end.
We bought one with barbets challenge. Deffo a penalty
Sky are always obsessed with the bigger clubs. They love West Brom, Derby, Forest, Fulham and Stoke and previously Leeds, Villa, Newcastle and of course they worship Brentford.
Another sickener tonight that is five games since mid September that we have conceded a goal after 88 minutes and beyond so it feels like we are back to square one. Also feels like we have dropped more points than anyone else this season from winning positions.
Now no wins in five live games so as I said before, Sky will ensure we don't make the play offs by covering more of our fixtures. Totally crap week for us.
Warburton cost us that game tonight by bringing on the man with speed of a tortoise Amos and not Ball.
Ball isn’t exactly Linford Christie.
We defended well against a team with the likes of Lyle Taylor to bring off the bench. It’s a desperately unlucky deflection. It’s a crap couple of weeks. We’ve got two big opportunities to put it right next week.
I thought that was a fair result. I’m not too disheartened because there were so many plus points. Johansen’s best (second) half of football all season, Dozzell was impressive whereas I’d been undecided about him previously and the whole team showed a bit of grit and determination. They still gave the ball away far, far too much.
Forest had a lot of the ball but we had enough chances to go two up. Apart from the deflected winner they never really looked like scoring in the second half!
Sure, they were the better team first half but outplayed. I beg to differ.
If it wasn't SKY it'd probably be something even worse.
*Edit
I just watched the sky highlights.
"This is what the new forest do"
That’s 7 games unbeaten for them now under Cooper.Apart from the Fulham loss of course. Why couldnt they keep hold of Hughton until after we played them.Cardiff without Mcarthy next.
Prior to kick-off Sky revealed that QPR have lost 20 of 22 Friday matches screened on Sky.
Note to Sky - please stop picking QPR for Friday matches.
watching at home, i felt our constant back passing did for us, especially late on, dieng messed one up and they pressured us until the goal, just my thoughts, also Dykes has to improve his shot ratio into goals he does miss a lot , still for now 4th and good support, again, balls to sky and their curse on us. we are qpr and we move on.
In the cold light of day, even though we lost 2 points in the dying embers of the game, we did look more solid in midfield and Johansen looked a lot more comfortable especially 2nd half. Forest are a decent team and on the up under Steve Cooper, who I rate, he did a very good job at Swansea and with England 17s.
One of our problems is the ability to get shots away outside the 18 yard box, Colbeck has a pop gets a deflection goes in. We sometimes labour away going across the outside of the box without anyone having a shot.
We were better for probably 25 mins of the game the other 65 we were outplayed not good enough, typical slow start in the first half we scored against the run of play after half time the first 20 we were a bit better but they had a lot more possession, then the next 20 - 25 we were well on top, then got mugged in injury time, but we should have had free kick in the corner just before they scored.
unlucky with the deflection but we were poor in seeing the game out.
Like Groundhog Day. Every week the same old story. Can’t close a game out. Here comes the breadman with the ‘we have to manage the game better’ rhetoric... heard it all before.
Players looked out on their feet and not their fault with 3 games in 6 days but the continuous lack of common sense in the last 5 minutes is frightening.
Sorry but this is just not true.
We didn’t concede due to a lack of common sense. W managed the game very well and got caught out by a massive deflection.
I thought the tactical changes we made second half were excellent.
We showed common sense.
We were just unlucky.
There is no one to blame.
A draw a fair result ,we look like a midtable team ,Forest do also ,and thats were both teams will probably finish up .
For a big lump, dewijs is a delicate flower isn't he? Was barely touched as he won the ball and immediately signalled to the bench that he was done. Talk about injury prone! Be interesting to see what his injury is! It's not like he's been overplayed!
Can the #### head at sky who picks the games please stop putting us on. It like a bad dream that won't stop..just leave us alone and stick another club on. We are becoming a long running joke on sky. Just tell them to f off.
We were fortunate not to be 2 or 3 down in the first half, 100% better in the second half, our slow starts in the first half of games is worrying against better sides it will be game over by halftime, need to address the problem, the second half performance needs to be in the first half as well
We did well to get a point but gutted in the end we should have had all three, let's go one better next game.
The equaliser was a choker , thought Albert was great and dickie , big improvement by steff and dozzell . Unlucky with the early subs ... Let's build on this and go again
Was watching with an old friend who is a Forest fan and he was also saying he couldn’t see Forest scoring - but I was saying to him “no, it’s inevitable we will let in a goal, we can’t hold out a game.” I was literally waiting for it to
go in, it is that inevitable. Yes we played ok, Stef actually got stuck in, Dozell put in a shift, Albert did well - but we don’t know how to defend. No one is addressing the elephant in the room of the Clint interview imho - we played fine tonight no complaints but if we don’t put more effort into training defensively then we will have many more disappointing nights like this.
The fans know it too btw - Loftus Rd incredibly flat tonight apart from the Forest fans who were great tbf
Do you think the penny might drop with MW after that?
Much better with the more aggressive play in the second half. It shows we CAN do it.
But abandon the tippy tap approach?
Sadly I doubt it.
