Low key, uninspiring performance, nothing to get excited about. Bowler showed some good touches. Drager...stick a fork in him , he's done.
Onwards and upwards is the only direction to go.

No scarpa either! Or panzo. Apparently Aurier and Johnson are injured? I guess maybe little knocks no point in pushing if it’s just county?

Thought Drager was good. More concerned about how poor mighten, freuler, Williams, Dennis and danillo were…

Mighten has had lots of chances to impress and fails to do so. Williams in his defence was out a good while due to his injury. Dennis same old... Danilo will come good again.

To be fair it’s a run to blow some cobwebs and get experience for young ins with a sizeable crowd.

As a player I hated friendlies, as a supporter I just see it as a chance to catch up with mates, see how new kit looks and see if we have any kids voting through.

Today was basically a public training session for both clubs, I can only remember about 3 tackles and one proper "foul". 16k means tickets raised somewhere around £175k presumably mostly for Notts. A significant sum in League 2. Minutes silence impeccably observed, following a very good piece on tannoy.

Positives
- no new injuries
- 20 odd players got to run around a bit
- Nicely taken goal
- Shelvey looked the part
- Mangsla showed his vlass a few times.
- Joe Worrall doesn't like friendlies either.

Negatives
- The players we didn't see for various reasons: Jonno, Felipe, Aurier  Toffolo  Richards, Kouyate, Scarpa, MGW off top of my head.
- Mighten looks shot of confidence, even in a non contact friendly he struggled. Just hope he comes through this and his talent shines again in the future. May not be in the Premier league any time soon, but he should be ripping full backs apart in Championship by now.  A couple of years ago I thought we may have a future star on our hands with some of the skills  pace and trickery he showed. He needs to reset and rebuild somehow otherwise his peak might be a goal against Hull and his talent deserves so much more.  But I digress.

Don't think I'll bother spending any more on friendlies now this summer, they literally mean nothing on the whole.

Cooper said in the post match interview that he is still in training but not yet ready for a first run out.......

Just speculating but could he be under some kind of FA ban for an indiscretion? Toney has been banned for some games over a period of time and also banned from training for a lesser period.
