First leg is important to keep it tight. It will be massive…

Massive undertaking now. I want to be positive but we haven't half made our task difficult today. Sheffield are smack bang in form and they'll be buzzing after today's reult. Their place will be red hot. Id have them favourites now.

I was ok with the side that played today but very disappointed that the side couldn't beat Hull. They were there for the talking. Overall a poor day.

The lack of a win, the throwing away of the win and earning the most difficult play off tie is all negative stuff. Add that to the disappointment of last Tuesday and we're suddenly full of negative vives and self doubt. Huddersfield will be rocking, Sheff on the crest of a wave now.

We couldn't have had a worse week.

Has there been a worse week under Cooper since he came?

I'm definitely feeling pretty deflated right now. The rotation was correct, just frustrating it went as it did. At least we've got Spence for the whole playoffs.

Hopefully Davis returning will give them a lift. Sheff U still.arent a great team, you'd have fancied us over two legs a week ago

I was more worried of boro, I think we can do Sheffield over two legs…..BELIEVE..

Agree with those thoughts but it should be said that if the Blades are so good then it's likely that they would have beaten Hudds to meet us at Wembley!  Thats assuming that we recover from today's mess to have beaten Luton. To be really negative would we prefer to lose in a semi or suffer the crushing feeling of a Wembley reverse.

Its the game at their place im worried about. Bramall lane will be rocking and they will be favourites to win that leg. We got a last minute equaliser a couple of months ago which was well deserved but we wont be as fortuitous again probably. We're not a team that can go out, squash a game and get a 0-0. It will be an open game and if they get the first goal it could turn out very badly.

We did natter them in that game though. Should've won it easily, got to give us confidence.

I firmly believe a fully fit Davis is the key to beating the blades over 2 legs. If we actually progress to Wembley I also think that our brand of open football along with our best starting 11 would beat any of the four teams left in the play-offs on that large pitch. Bitterly disappointed that we failed today to clinch 3rd spot and we all know that both Forest & Copper have to date always stumbled at this stage of the season, hope that changes this year!

Incidentally, has anyone looked at blades forums to gauge their feelings about playing us?

Nothing yet but they are on the crest of a wave after beating Fulham.

I’ll give you a clue how their forum will look on Friday though…..blah blah ….hate the scabs.. blah blah
3 games all of them will be tough but if we bring the form we were showing just last weekend when we smashed 5 in we have nothing to fear.

I’m embarrassed to read some of these comments. We are the team others want to avoid. We are the best team Sheff United faced all season. We have more points than anyone but Liverpool since Cooper came. Surely the good feeling we’ve built up to now can’t be that shallow can it? We have a week to rest, recuperate and get ready because the season we never thought we’d have starts right now. Second leg home advantage at a packed, floodlit City Ground that’s seen off Arsenal and Leicester and almost Liverpool. Finally it’s time to get our revenge on those ignorant Scargill loving half wits. (Who, by the way, used Thatcher’s right to buy to purchase a luxury flat in London so well done for letting him take the piss you naive Yorkshire twats.) COME ON YOU REDS!
