Charlton were good first half but hey were not that good surely? Or Charlton fans have been watching some serious crap over the last 7 or 8 years.
It's difficult playing promoted teams early on in the season as they still have a winning mentality about them. Last nights result will have been a blow to them and they might now suffer a knock to their confiedence. They'll find out if they're a good side over the next few weeks.

I thought in that first half they were brilliant, not seen Forest play as fluid as that in a very long time.

Definitely. Sometimes you just hold your hands up and say 'Well done, you were better than us.' First half last night was one of those times - yet had Grabban taken that last chance we'd have gone in level.

Just been reading a few of the Fulham fans comments and apart from the odd one claiming we were poor and banging on about 4-5 handballs in the box and poor referring, the majority of their fans have given us praise for sticking to our game plan, keeping our shape, taking our chances and resolute defending.
Its actually nice to see sensible comments from opposition fans about us for a change

Can you imagine how it felt to be a Fulham fan today? They must have been as frustrated as hell with Dawson and Wozza kicking and heading everything, Samba slowing the game down and their team just generally being blocked and neutralised throughout.

Fulham fans comments post match, I have to say they are rather disappointing comments. None of them really giving us any credit for a superb away performance. Their fans seem a lot like their forums, shit.
Bloody hell that's a wake up call.
Great goal by Nottingham Forest. No stopping it.
Nottingham Forest have no business being in the lead. We've absolutely dominated proceedings.
Ref choosing to ignore the new handball rules. Why?
How many times will forest be allowed to handball in the box?
Forest have been defensively solid. Solid enough to stop Fulham from scoring. Hats off to them.
Forest are taking the pi$$ out of the ref. Anti football tactics.
What a bunch of time wasters... anti football at its best.
I'm starting to hate Forest.
They kept Knock and Cav from scoring. Well played Forest.

Desperate comments regarding the handballs and time wasting.
Why don't they just admit that they couldn't break our resolve, our shape, our togetherness, our team spirit, our willingness to fight and block every ball etc etc.

No mention of our superb football for the first goal that would have graced any game.
They don't seem the brightest bunch and they certanly don't appreciate the fine art of defending.
We went to their gaff, did a very professional job on them and turned them over.
Why can't they just admit it?

Heres a few of the Fulham fans comments from the Friends of Fulham website, that i saw on a thread titled 'How Awful were Forest'..........
We did not play badly at all...yes the end product was suspect.... we simply out played Forest in every aspect of the game (except the one that counts...goals). To witness a side that lacks quality and is anti-football as it comes with the time wasting, add to that an oblivious ref who ignores four handballs in the penalty box and couldn't get a control on the game....you just hate to see the loss. Had we been genuinely outplayed, fine, fair play - but we weren't.
In the final third we were rubbish, quite good up until that point. Their first goal was the one thing they did in 90 mins, we gifted them a goal and other than that we were comfortable. Shoutout to the referee and fourth official being the worst double act I’ve ever seen at CC. The ref didn’t even enforce the rule of the player walking off the pitch closest to where they are which about summed him up allowing their time wasting
I think it's a bit harsh to criticise a team who came with a gameplan and executed it perfectly and a lot of teams will try the same thing. It's frustrating but we're a tough game and a scalp.
I thought they defended as a team very well, two strong banks of four close together.
We had an off day up front, which feels weird to say given how much attacking quality we have and the fact we had so much of the ball we took off CM's and CB's for attacking minded players.
One thing I did notice is firstly they dominated us in terms of height, for all the quality of our attacking players they're not the largest in the world.
They weren't awful they came to do a job and did it.
Its going to happen again again again.
Its up to us to work it out how to beat teams who play like that away from home.
Did you see them last week at home to Birmingham, tore them apart 3-0.
Forest will be one of the sides up there.
If we had played like that last year we might have stayed up, it football teams just dont rollover you have to have learn how to work your way through them try a different approach draw them out quick ball over the top, they sat with 11 behind the ball all second half we played into there hands
Better team won on the day!
It happens in football all the time. Teams that play football and try and play football are often frustrated by teams that get the tactics spot on and pounce on errors. It happens and frankly the result was predictable. But we played well enough and sometimes football just reminds you that turning up and playing the right way isn't always enough. Well done Forest for playing in a way that beat us on the day. It happens.
They beat us.
Did a job on us. Much like sides did in the Jokanovic era. Defend well & frustrate us + take your chances when they come.
If we aspire to go up we have to be better at defending & in breaking teams down. Most teams will try to do a Forest on us rather than stand off like Millwall did
They scored twice we didn’t.
How awful were Forest? So awful they beat us. It's the result that matters. End of
Not awful at all. Defended expertly, with Michael Dawson in commanding form. Lewis Grabban two chances two goals. Ben Watson organising the midfield screening. Collectively they did a very effective job on us.
The mistake made by Sess was a big factor in the outcome. Overall I didn’t think we deserved to lose but that’s football and Forest defended superbly for long periods. Credit to them for executing their game plan.

Exactly.
Our first goal was 15 passes all along the floor without Fulham touching the ball and chasing shadows.
Pick that f****r out.
