Been texting some friends and family who live in cork today and Keanos certainly got a reputation over there ! Cant wait to see him back at the CG hope it all works out my only worry is if he will step up to manager when Martin leaves as dont think hes cut out for it

Unflattering term, but he's certainly different & his own man & in crude terms that could be described as strange, or weird, but yes, that's part of what makes him who he is.

Keane is his own man and has his own mystique.

That's what made him successful and special.

Glad to have the Enforcer back.

The view from Liam Lawrence who had a blazing training ground row with Roy in the early days of his reign at Sunderland, to which the manager responded by selling him to Stoke City.

When asked if he was surprised to see Keane once again agree to work as an assistant manager, this time with Martin O’Neill at Nottingham Forest, he responded:

“No, because he has followed Martin. They’d have worked together here (ROI), they know each other inside-out and Roy will probably bring a bit of steel and a kick up the backside for whoever needs it.”

“You guys will know, you’ll have seen things with Roy. He can be quite confrontational sometimes. It’s about adapting to modern football and the modern-day footballer, and if he does that, he won’t have a problem as he is actually a good coach.”

Sounds fine to me.  Hopefully those lethargic performances will be a thing of the past.

Martin O' Neill said he was honoured to be back at the City Ground.

We'd like to see that from the players performances in front of a packed City Ground.  (I think this many 'full houses' is unprecedented.)

All Forest need is promotion.  Forest are on the brink of something 'old' but 'new again.'

Keane and 3-4 more players.  A couple more wins.  It'll be in the balance and game on.
